My 6.5 year old DD is so sweaty! I thought only teens got sweaty armpits? Its noticeable stinky by the end of the day. We talked to her pedi because I thoughr sweaty pits were a sign of puberty but her doctor said the sweating does happen early for some kids. Ita heartbreaking because now in addition to daily baths we are using a natural deoderant and explaining it all to her just seems a bit much for her age. I keep thinking it must be caused by hormones in her food but we eat a lot of natural things and stick to almond milk

My 6.5 year old son asked me to wear deodorant (which I guess is because he likes how my husband's smells and sees us both putting it on). I can't say I've ever smelled him but we bought him some of that Tom's kids deodorant at his request and he happily puts it on. I also remember my sister starting to wear deodorant when she was in first grade. I don't think it's anything your daughter is eating. I think kids just start needing it at a point...

I think it’s just certain kids. My daughter (almost 7) started wearing deodorant at about 3 because she smelled like an adult! We live in a hotter climate but in the summer she could bathe in the AM and smell by afternoon. Even in winter I notice her clothes smelling if we don’t do anything. Deodorant right after the shower takes care of it for us, just is what it is and she doesn’t seem bothered by it. I don’t think it’s food because I don’t see any sign in my nearly 4yo son who is more active than my daughter.

@bhbee: @Shantuck: thank you ladies. I was panicking that it was signs of early puberty. Her pedi said that on its own it isnt anything to be worried about. I will try that toms kids deo brand next, currently we are using a store brand natural roll on.
