My DD is 6 years old and just a couple days ago we found 2 possibly 3 swollen lumps on the side of her neck. They are squishy, move around easy, not tender and about the size of a marble or maybe more like a bean. Almost positive they are lymph nodes. She has no other symptoms except her adult molars are coming in. I hate googling it so I’m checking to see if anyone else has had this experience. I’m hesitant to take her in due to the lack of any symptoms. Any suggestions?

I've had a swollen lymph node in my face (along my jaw line) for over a decade that I discovered while washing my face one day. My sister has had swollen lymph nodes that were swollen for years and then just went away. My doctor referred me to an ENT when it was first discovered and they did an MRI to confirm it was in fact a swollen lymph node rather than a tumor or anything more sinister. Whenever I get a check-up with my internist, she always checks it to make sure it hasn't grown but everyone agrees that it is just a harmless swollen lymph node.
I would definitely get it checked out (and continue to have it monitored if it doesn't go away in time) but keep in mind that it can just be a normal thing with some people as long as it isn't too big, doesn't grow, etc.

My 4 year old has one too on the backish side of his neck under his ear. Our pediatrician checked it out at his wellness visit and wasn’t concerned. I check it every once in a while and if still there at our next visit or I notice a change I will have it further investigated.
I myself had a swollen lymph node recently under my jaw line and of course despite my better judgement did Dr Google. I went to my PCP who did basic bloodwork and an ultrasound and everything came back normal. Mine did decrease so I didn’t pursue further. I associated mine with a bad case of dermatitis that I am currently on a long course of abx for.
I realize nothing I just said was helpful but I understand your concern. I would continue to monitor and if no change bring it up at a ped visit.
