If your LO went through this, please chime in. My 18 month old has sttn since he was 5 months old, we have a solid, consistent nap and bedtime routine and times, etc. We Ferber'd at 4 months for bedtime and it wasn't so bad. We've never experienced precious regressions so I feel like this is hitting us with. vengeance. He's done great until, BAM! A few nights ago he started wailing as soon as we'd start putting on his pjs, trying to drag us to the door, hurling his books.... we tried holding him till he was calm and sleepy but he'd get pissed once he was in the crib. after a few tries, we gave up and CIO. we've CIO
for the past 3 days and he's still pissed. naps are not better. Probably worse, since he actually refused to nap at all yesterday. I'm in sleep hell! What happened to my good sleeper? he's sleeping less because he cries so much before falling asleep and has been waking up early.

So, if you went through this regression, please help a mama out!
1. How long did it last?
2. What did it look like for you? is my description similar to your experience?
3. what did you do during the regression? If you didn't sleep train/CIO, how did you survive the regression?

I keep reading that some people just "ride it out," but I don't know what that looks like. to me, that means having to sleep next to/with him on the floor or rocker all night, and holding for naps. I just don't want to start any habits now that will be harder to break later. The only thing is, we have no other option but to re-sleep and nap train, but man is it ugly. Those lungs on an 18 month old! Besides, he's been an independent sleeper for a long time so I want to believe that he'll do it again!
