I bought D his winter coat and hat/mittens last weekend at Target. A new Cartwheel offer for 30% off just popped up today. Do you think they'll honor that and adjust my price? I most likely do not have the receipt, but purchased with my RedCard debit.

I don't think they'll make the adjustment. I think you'll have to return it, they'll be able to look it up on your card, and then rebuy it.

Yep I'm doing the same thing tomorrow. Returning it and then rebuying using the cartwheel. I don't have the receipt either but used my debit card, so they can use that to look up the purchase. They don't do adjustments which I think is silly and causes them more work but whatevs.

They will do an adjustment but wont look up a receipt to do it. Ive trked before and thats what they told me.

I've found the willingness to work with you depends on the team member, so it's probably worth a try to go in an explain the situation and see what they'll do.
You could also buy a duplicate using the cartwheel with another form of payment and then return that new unworn item using a receipt lookup on your debit card. I suppose it depends on how much your saving on whether the hassle is worth it.

Buy under the new price, and then return those and say they were purchased with the transaction last weekend? Won't that work?

I do that too. Buy it again and return the new items with the old receipt (or receipt look up, in your case).

They are usually pretty helpful. I've had some issues where things didn't process correctly at the register so they will either just hand me some cash at customer service or refund money on my card. Thelast time I think I had about $5 in coupons that the cashier didn't put in so the guy at the desk refunded me for a $10 item I bought. He mentioned that they recently changed the system so I don't know if that means they are being more strict about it in general.

Usually Cartwheel offers and promo codes don't apply to previous purchases, and they won't price adjust. If it's just an across the board sale, they'll price adjust within 7 days. But as others have said, you can return & rebuy.

Definitely agree that it depends on the person helping you! I've had super helpful people and either unhelpful or unknowledgeable staff that would give me a hard time with what another person would do with no problems.
In your case I'd just return and re-buy.
