@ellewoods84: I liked Whitney too after the episode. At first I thought she was trying a little too hard, but it seemed like they did have a lot of fun on the date.
@birdofafeather: thanks for the inside scoop! I figured that at least some people associated with the wedding would have to know what was going on... especially with the show's cameras lurking about!
@LuLu Mom: I think her husband committed suicide in 2013... when did the show tape? Was it really 8 months later? That definitely seems too soon, both for her to be ready to move on and for her to leave her daughter. If it was later, then I don't know...I don't want to judge not having been in her shoes. What an awful thing to go through! That being said, it doesn't seem like the best dating move to be crying on Chris's shoulder about it.

@Mrs. Pen: She went to his hotel room to tell him the story about how she lost her husband and she did it in a super creepy way. After talking to him, she told the camera, "I love my story." Kelsey comes off almost sociopathic to me, the way she talks about her "story", how amazing it is and how much she deserves things, and the creepy vibe she gives off.
Becca is my absolute favorite, and I also like Whitney and Jade.

I like Carly, Becca, Whitney, Jade, and Kaitlyn (though maybe not Kaitlyn with Chris). I am not sure about Brit. Megan seems nice, but the clips at the end of the one episode made her appear like a racist dingbat. She also seems like too much of a party girl. Ashley and Kelsey drive me crazy.
How can they all sing so well? Maybe my voice is unusually bad?!

@78h2o: I really like Kaitlyn, I think she's hilarious and she seems like a lot of fun, but I agree that Chris doesn't seem like a good fit for her.
Megan is utterly forgettable to me.
I'm surprised actually that I'm not really a fan of Chris. He seems not to think things through very much or take peoples' feelings into account in a lot of situations. So while I really like Becca and Whitney, I almost hope they don't end up with him because they're too nice for him! He should just choose Britt if he's going to act like that...

I love Britt! She's been my favorite from the start. I also like Jade and Becca. He and Becca seem to have a good chemistry.

Kelsey is totally nuts. My husband says she probably killed her husband and that they should really look into that. I like Britt a lot! I think she's gorgeous. I don't see her living in Iowa though. I think Whitney would be a good fit for him.

I really like Becca. I also like Carly, but I get tired of insecure girls looking for a guy to make them love themselves. Chris seems to like Whitney and Britt more than I do. Megan needs to go.

I think Britt is beautiful but I don't see her with Chris. Becca or Whitney are my frontrunners.
@IRunForFun: Chris seems completely in over his head with all these beautiful women fawning over him. I think Britt is probably the hottest chick he's ever gotten with and he can't get over that.

When Kelsey and Ashley were sitting alone together on that random bed in the desert, I swear Kelsey was looking at her so murderously I thought maybe she was trying to figure out how to slip poison into her wine.
@daniellemybelle: That's a really good point about Britt being the hottest chick he's ever been with. He's just soooo awkward. It's painful.

The fact that she keeps talking about the story and how "amazing" it is...that's just creepy enough. Now I just read the obit...yikes. It's clearly written by her and all about how much he adored her. If I'm writing an obituary about my husband, it would be about what an amazing person he was and how loved HE was...not how much he loved ME.

I had the exact same though as the writer on that site, my first thought was, how the hell did she manage to sneak in that just graduated from blah blah blah with her masters. That has ZERO place in HIS obit. Very weird... she would have made good entertainment value, but good riddance.

Okay I'm jumping in:
1. Kelsey legit scares me. reading the obit, scares me even more. Who cares about her accomplishments, that has no place in her husbands obit!
2. Kaitlyn is my favorite, not for Chris, but because I find her hilarious and so not "proper" the Bachelor needs her (I would love to see her be bachelorette but know it will never happen in million years.
3. Whitney and Beccas are my picks for Chris, they both seem sincere and most likely to handle the small town lifestyle (I do it/did it, it's not easy and there's no way someone like Brit can handle it.)
4. Brit and him have sexual chemistry that's it, but girlfriend can not crack it in Iowa I know that for sure.
5. Megan...she always seems drunk to me?
6. Jade, he's never gong ot pick someone from playboy even though it has to be a joke he didn't know beforehand...the Bachelor researches all these girls, all they had to do was Google her name and it all comes up (she's from Nebraska for goodness sakes, one state over, it was known trust me!)
and I was dying because I had NO CLUE who Samantha was when she was eliminated, no idea...don't remember her talking once.

I'm guilty of searching out Kelsey's FB and twitter accounts (although I am not sure who is running them, since they refer to her in the third person?) and there is a lot about how the editing and the producers made her out to be creepy, and it was all the editors fault that she came off that way. I don't know, I mean, yeah, editing can put words in different contexts, but I don't think there's a way to edit in those creepy eyes and that Twilight Zone tone of voice...

@blackbird: Ha, she actually specifically referenced that! She said she meant that her story of "survival" and the way she has embraced life after his death is amazing, not that his actual death was amazing.
ETA: Which I still think is creepy...to champion yourself over how you handle widowhood. She said she wears her widowhood as a badge of honor...
ETA2: One of the other things I found creepy about her was the way she kept telling Chris that he could trust that she "knew how" to be a wife because she had been one...

Okay, I just watched. Kelsey is seriously cray. Her laugh is just enough to let you know she's not right. I was happy when Chris sent both Kelsey and Ashely home. Ashley would have never made it on the farm. I like Brit....I think she's pretty and they do have crazy chemistry, but ever since Carly was talking about how she never ever showers , for some reason I feel like she might smell and has bad breath. Like, when Chris picked her for the date in the morning last week, did she brush her teeth, haha? Thats all I could think about! So, I like Whitney (although her voice is annoying, she seems to be into Chris and could potentially live on the farm), Kaitlyn (but she could never make it not the farm, I just don't see her and Chris together), Becca seems sweet but I they haven't shown much of her, and Jade. Although, now that Jade is a XXX star, I think that's over. Oh, and Megan is so dumb. Like, duhhhhumb.
So, who do you think is in the running for the next Bachelorette? I think maybe Whitney.
