Yes! I've still only seen the first episode. I was in tears at the end! So glad they already committed to a full season!

Yes! I've even got DH watching with me. Such a good show. We were so impressed with the first episode and after last night still excited to see more!

Yes! It's a drama without all the DRAMA. Love it! Really like the characters and how funny it can be. Excited to see it play out.

Love it so far. @Mrs.Someone: I agree about the end of epi 2!??!?!

I'm hooked. I thought episode one was amazing, epi two hit home even harder. Interested to see how it all plays out.

I'm enjoying it so far- episode 1 was triggering for me.... watched episode 2 last night but didn't finish due to DD waking up. Can't wait to see what the cliffhanger is!

I wonder if each episode is going to have a twist at the end?

Watched the first episode and really enjoyed it...now you guys have me really curious about the ending of episode 2!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@snarkybiochemist: I was thinking the same thing!!! The ep2 ending was more shocking to me than ep1!

@ValentineMommy: man, sounds like I need to watch the last part of episode 2. I only caught the first half an hour, so might just rewatch the whole thing. I'll have to see if they have it on the NBC website since we don't have DVR.

@ValentineMommy: It certainly keeps you hooked
@NorthStar: I was able to watch it on NBC's website yesterday, so hopefully its still up

I'm hooked! And the end of episode 2 left me wondering about the backstory to that part of the storyline for sure!

I've only seen the first episode, though being pregnant made the hospital scenes really hard to watch, esp because I'd read spoilers! Actually, I started it Sunday but then couldn't watch past the first 10 mins-ish until after I had my 20-week anatomy scan on Monday becuase I was just too emotional and anxious! I really liked it though, I'll get to episode 2 at some point soon...

@nana87: the 1st episode was hard to watch being pregnant. Especially since the "problem" with baby 3 happened to my first LO. I wish the doctor never told me that. She was ok, but still it is all I can think about with this pregnancy.
I love this show. DH even likes it.

@Smurfette: oh gosh that's scary! as if we need more things to worry about going wrong in pregnancy...
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@nana87: seriously. Especially cause there is nothing you can do about it.

I love it! However, I did feel like I had seen all the important parts of Ep1 in the commercials (except the end).
If I though the first episode made me cry a lot, the 2nd definitely topped it. I was crying for 20 minutes!

I loved the first episode but was less impressed with the second one. It didn't have me sucked in as much as the first, but the twist at the end definitely has me excited for episode 3.

@Truth Bombs: I agree with you. The second was lack luster til the twist. I was a little bored during the 2nd one but Im still interested as a whole in the story arc

I just read that they are moving it up to 8pm central. I'm a loser and go to bed around 9, so this will make it so much easier for me to watch weekly.

Just watched episode 2. I AM LOVING THIS SHOW. They were right that it fills the hole in your heart that Parenthood left behind! The only weak spot I think is *some* of the acting, but Mandy and Milo make up for it for sure. And the writing. I loved how they captured their history in a few short scenes. I can NOT wait for the next episode. Excited to see how they portray the difficulties of new motherhood. Also, I'm excited to see THAT they portray the difficulties of new motherhood!

You all inspired me to watch episode 2 during lunch today I definitely felt choked up at parts, such an emotional show!
The one thing that really bothered me (and this is a little thing and not spoiler-y, I hope) was the scene where Kate's a little girl and like "mommy I only ate fruit today" aaaaah so unhealthy!
coconut / 8472 posts
@nana87: The fruit thing bothered me too. That and the fact that everyone else got to eat sugary cereal except for Kate.

I've liked it so far but not ready to make a final call yet. Worried about some of the cheese factor and if they're going to do a twist at the end of every episode... I could see that maybe getting a bit old. But I love the cast and I love sappy stuff so I will keep watching
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@ShootingStar: Yessss. I mean, they're trying to show that Kate's eating issues went back really far, and of course it was the 80s so nutrition (what was even considered healthy, knowledge about eating disorders, etc) was understood in very different ways....but it just made me cringe so badly!

I want to watch it but it's on at 10pm and I can't stay up that late - ha! Is it Parenthood quality?
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@mediagirl: oooh I def watch on Hulu after the fact, 10pm for an hour long show is ridiculous, I'm in bed loooong before that, lol. I'm not sure it's as good as Parenthood yet but I'm definitely finding the characters compelling
kiwi / 566 posts
@mediagirl: I'd say no to it being Parenthood quality, the writing isn't as strong, or performances... but it's also only been 2 eps so might get there when I get more invested! Stream them online and try it out.

I'm completely hooked on this show. I'm not sure if it's because it hits so home with me and my family or what it is, but I just relate to it very well. This is our life...which is why I guess it's called This Is Us
