Found out yesterday that our new home will be ready by March first. By that time I'll be 33 weeks pregnant. I know some of you Bees have moved while pregnant so could you give me some pointers?

We moved when I was 32 weeks pregnant. Luckily for me it was just one apartment to another apartment but it was hard.
My only advise is have LOTS of help. I was useless for carrying anything or cleaning up our old apartment.

Start packing tonight. Hire someone to clean the old house after you move and the new one before.

Pack a little every day. It took me a month to pack our little condo. Moving day I was 35 weeks. Luckily family moved everything and I sat and directed traffic. Then my Mom, sister, and Aunts unpacked the whole kitchen while I told them where to put stuff. I don't know how we would have done it without all the help we had. If you don't have people to help, hire movers!

I did it at 34 weeks in July in Louisiana heat! I was in great shape and felt good so it wasn't as awful as it could have been. It was actually frustrating because I wanted to do more than I could. It's tough to carry boxes when you have a belly! Just make sure you have help, drink plenty of water while packing and unpacking. What I underestimated was how sore and tired I would be after! But know that it's totally doable!

Try to get as much help as possible. Our parents helped us a lot and I couldn't have done it without them. Like PPs said if you don't have local help hire someone!

I think I was about 30 weeks pregnant when we moved into our house. We did hire movers for the big stuff but the rest was no big deal. We also paid to have our old place professionally cleaned because I just didn't have time and energy between moving/LO#1/work/school/ and being pregnant. The extra help was totally worth the extra money. I also did a bunch of painting and little jobs around the house before we moved in and planned where everything was going to go. It made the move in go very smoothly.

I did a military move at 32 weeks pregnant. Movers packed along with moving, but we were responsible for unpacking. It took time, but just rest as necessary. Most everything was put away by the time baby arrived.

You can do it! We moved across the country when I was 34 weeks pregnant with DD2 and DD1 was 21 months. Take it slowly and be methodical. Have a realistic number of boxes to pack per day starting with the things you won't need urgently and using a system to keep track of boxes and make unpacking easier. Save your LO's spaces for the end, and if possible, have them stay with a grandparent for the last night or two before the move so you can pack their space and clean uninterrupted. Get help for the last week as needed. Don't lift already-full boxes! Good luck, and congrats on the new place!

We paid packers as we had a toddler and an infant and it was worth every penny!! Never thought I would but it was incredible and actually a small fraction of our in state moving costs

We moved when I was 25 weeks pregnant with my second. We had movers but it was a lot of time on my feet packing and unpacking and moving things around. My husband had just started a new job and was virtually unavailable. My mom came and helped me one day and that helped a bunch (she unpacked my entire dining room in an hour lol). It took us a two months to get settled. Just take it slow and yes, hire cleaners!

@PawPrints: this was my advice we moved during both of my pregnancies and I honestly did very little. I packed some stuff but mostly just told people how to pack and where to unpack.

We moved across the country when I was somewhere around 28 weeks. Luckily with LO1. We had to get help to unload the heavy stuff but I really just did everything else as I would usually, for better or for worse. If I did it again I would definitely hire cleaners for all the cleaning and get movers. And pack slowly overtime, I did do that.

Get help. Ask friends and family or hire someone. My husband kept saying he would pack everything, but he ended up being busy at work. I packed 95% of it myself, and it was so stressful.
