@regberadaisy: @blackbird: a fruit salad was literally all I could come up with because she is so damn picky.
She doesn't eat much and starting dairy free last week limited that even more. Things that are easy to chew because she has texture/eating issues.
She eats Squash chunks but that seemed too thanksgivingy.

@MrsH: I rely heavily on appetizers for my kiddo at family meals like Easter. Veggies with dip - my kid will eat anything dipped in hummus. My child will also eat her weight in summer sausage and crackers (you could do GF crackers).

My kid tends to just eat the rolls at family holiday dinners. I was going to suggest mac n cheese since that's what we have at Easter but clearly that doesn't work with the gf/df at all!

I'm GF and my DS is DF - be careful with the sausage as some brands have milk in them!
Will she eat potatoes? We do a thin-sliced potato recipe that is delicious - just sub olive oil for the butter, and use a cast iron pan if you have one:

It's really pretty for a special dinner, too!

@MoreCoffee: thanks for the heads up on the milk in sausage. Really new to the DF side of things. GF seems easy in comparison

Green beans, roasted carrots, sweet potato fries (there are some easy recipes for home made!), any kind of potato dish...just use the dairy free butter substitute if you need butter.

Crustless quiche...you can just do eggs, water, diced vegetables.
