We are on day 3 of potty-training. Before this, he's been going on the potty 1-2x a day with prompting. I read an e-book about a 3-day method that was successful for my friends, and I read OCPT. Both books emphasized focusing on learning body signals / the "sensation" of having to go potty, rather than "trying" at timed intervals. We have been home for 3 days, talking about the potty a lot, watching potty song videos, drinking lots of fluids, lots of praise for a few times he has made it on the potty, etc. He has been wearing loose underwear or boxer briefs, naked doesn't work for us.

Day 1, he peed every hour, unprompted by us.
Day 2, he peed every 2 hours, unprompted by us.
Day 3 (today, this morning): he went 4 hours without peeing (7:30-11:30), aside from a LITTLE pee around 8:30.

Should I be concerned about this increasing pee interval, or is this normal and to be expected? He doesn't seem uncomfortable. Usually for 30 min before peeing, he will start grabbing his crotch. He doesn't want to stop playing. He doesn't like to be told to "try", and he will have a couple of false starts when we rush him to the potty and then nothing happens.

We remind him a ton to "tell us if you have to potty" and sing the "stop and go potty" song from Daniel Tiger. We tell him to "run run run" if he has to go potty.

I wonder if these long intervals will continue if we go out on errands / for fun things like park and library? I am dying to get out of the house.
