I think we started when we switched her to a toddler bed. It's a tiny pillow...maybe 5x12? It's part of a set that my mom brought back from China.

Subbing! I just saw one at The Land Of Nod, specifically for toddlers.

I saw one at IKEA the other day and thought about buying it as a in between to a regular standard. I like that it's really flat.

Too funny, I literally JUST bought one for E this afternoon from amazon. It's 8x13". She keeps balling up her blankets under her head and using her stuffed animals as pillows, so I think she will appreciate it. She's 16 months

When he started sleeping on his floor bed, at around 22 months. He climbed out of his crib, otherwise we wouldn't have switched him so soon!

We just started at 19 months. It is a toddler pillow I got at BBB.

LO uses a regular pillow, though it's kind of skinny/flat compared to some nicer regular pillows. She's used it for a long time.

We got LO one at 19 months because she kept using her Elmo toy as a pillow

She started sleeping on a floor bed around 15 months and got one then....I'm not really sure why I gave her one, but she loves it! It's just a regular pillow that's super flat.

We gave my daughter a airplane sized pillow (bought at Bed, Bath and Beyond) when she moved to a regular bed at 25 months.

We gave her one when she asked this winter, I think around 24-26 months. We went to target and found a mini pillow pet which she has been happy with.

We gave her a pillow when she was about 19 months and we switched her to a toddler bed. We just gave her a regular pillow that was a bit flatter and it went across her crib on one side. She stopped rolling around her bed as much once we gave her a pillow

I didn't give them pillows until they asked - DS was 4 and he got a flat one from Target
DD asked at 3 if she could have my small travel pillow so I gave her that one

At 14 or 15 months we moved her to a floor bed and I had a body pillow at the head of the bed to use as a buffer against the wall - she totally started using it as a pillow right away! Sometimes she'll even sleep completely on the pillow, so cute

We gave him one at DH's insistence around 16/18 months (he was sure DS was uncomfortable without one). We bought this one http://www.amazon.com/Little-Pillow-Company-Hypoallergenic-TODDLER/dp/B009JV34RC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407154704&sr=8-1&keywords=toddler+pillow from Amazon and, at 23 months, he absolutely LOVES his pillow. In fact, I just bought a second one!

We started giving DS a pillow around his first Christmas, so nearly a year old. It was a sheep that flattened out into a pillow. I used to put a pillowcase over it because the 'wool' on the sheep used to make him sweat. Then we switched to a standard pillow when we switched to toddler rails. Around age two he got a long body pillow for his twin bed.
DD still doesn't have a pillow but that's because she's still a wild sleeper. Soon though.

@bushelandapeck: I saw this one and was thinking of getting it too! Good to know your LO loves it! What pillow case did you get? So the past few nights we've been sleep training DD and it's been awful....literally take hours for her to go to bed. Well last night DH had this brilliant idea of giving her a pillow. She fell asleep INSTANTLY!!! I was beyond shocked. A pillow?!? DH is so proud of himself he thought of it. Haha.

@dolphin: We bought the Luvable Friends one and it's really soft. It does come off pretty easily but that hasn't been a huge deal for us.
