I was confused so I went into Stride Rite and had her feet measured!

It varies by brand so much! LO is on the small side and is 16m and just went into 5's in Converse. I also got her a 5 from Target, and they are way too small.

I love the See Kai Runs. They are really flexible and I believe offer a 12-18 month size. I think they have a printout you can get online to measure at home.

We moved to Nike SMS shoes because they have such flexible shows. We buy them at the outlet stores for about $20 a piece.

We went to Nordstrom and they measured LO, and were really helpful in terms of helping us pick out the right type of shoe for her. I usually buy her stuff online after price shopping but in this case, going to the store was worth it! They took a Polaroid of her and she got a stuffed animal, so she loved it!

I just bought Pedipeds on Zappos (sale!) and am equally perplexed. We actually measured my son's bare foot against another daycare kid's foot, and his mom told me what size he is currently wearing in Pedipeds. Since my son's foot is smaller, I bought a couple sizes smaller. They fit....but I feel like he will outgrow them in a minute and he hasn't even worn them yet. I just ordered the half size up to see if that will give a little more leeway for growth and if so, I will return the size we have now since they're unworn.

ETA: He is 15 months and the Pedipeds size 5 (aka 20) is the one that fits with barely any room for growth. Just ordered a 5.5 (21) and will compare.

There are so many different sizes, it's so irritating. I mostly just find a few brands that I know fit and stick to those. Easy to just buy the next size up when she grows.
