My parents want to buy DD a table as a gift, so they've asked me to research options. Ideally, the table and chairs would be:
- sturdy/durable (I know she's going to climb all over them)
- wipeable (planning to use it primarily as a craft table)
- rectangular
- adjustable heights would be nice but not necessary
- at least somewhat cute
I've looked a bit at lakeshore, pb kids and land of nod. Anyone have a toddler and chair set they love?

No adjustable height, but it's square, comes with 4 chairs, and is very durable. The chairs easily hold a 200+ lb person and I've witnessed a 5 year old sit at ours comfortably (Xander was 22 months when we got it and loves it). Plus it matches our other espresso furniture, but it comes in other finishes.

Its a wood table so its easier to do hacks.

It's held up well, but LO isn't a climber so I haven't had experience with it in that way. It's very easy to clean and I think it's cute!

My parents got her this one for her bday. Adults can sit in the chairs no problem. I mean they aren't super comfy but they can hold you.

We have the Sudvik Ikea table in black, along with the matching chairs. It looks nice in our living room and seems much sturdier than the cheaper ikea table set (the one that's $19.99 for the table AND chairs).

We have this Richard Lampert desk. It was expensive, but it is adjustable all the way up to a full size adult desk (my tall husband can sit at it comfortably when at the full height). We have an ikea bench to go with it, but when the LOs are older, maybe we will get nicer chairs.

We have the Ikea Mammut chairs and just paired them with a lack table we already owned. the chairs are surprisingly sturdy when i sit on them but not very comfy. the matching table is cute too

Maybe that's just because the ones in the store take s beating though. I will try to keep DD from climbing on her set, but she manages to climb on the kitchen table when I'm trying to make dinner so....

@travellingbee: @bushelandapeck: I love the pb kids tables. Are they easy to clean? I'm worried about them looking shot in a week due to crayons and markers. It's for a toddler, so I'm not expecting it to stay pristine but would like to wipe it off a bit.

@Zbug: I have a pretty destructive toddler and ours is still in great shape after 1+ year of use! He doesn't really draw on it though, as he prefers his easel for that. He mostly uses it to play with his toys, cars, etc.

@Zbug: oh I think the one we have is pretty solid! DH and I can sit on the chairs without feeling like we are going to break them (DH is 6"3) and we haven't had any issues!

@Zbug: we've had it since December and it's so far been very easy to clean. Just wipe with a sponge.
