My babe is six months old today. I've been thinking about getting an Ergo. Is it too late? He's not a snugly boy but he likes most things and doesn't complain, so I think he'd like it. I think it would be easier to use when I walk the dogs then the stroller!
Anyone else start carrying later?

We didnt really start doing it more until C was 5-6 months. She HAAAATED it when she was tiny. She still doesnt mind it now at 2.5. We used an Ergo.

Go for it! I think DD likes it more and more still since we started back carrying her 7/8m or so to now at 23m!

not too late! i still wear my 20 month old in a similar carrier! i'm looking to upgrade to a toddler size too. so much easier in many situations!

Since he's already 6 months old, you might look into a Tula. They have a higher weight/height limit than an Ergo, so you could use it longer. They tend to re-sell for close to retail price too.

We started early, but I just wanted to chime in that it is SO much easier to walk the dog with the carrier than the stroller!

Definitely not too late. I found it harder to baby wear and walk the dog though, DD didn't tolerate me bending down to pick up after the dog and would be very vocal about it for a long time after.

Go for it! The Ergo was a lifesaver when I was walking the dog this summer.

Go for it! I actually think it's the age where we started to get our groove it and still works for us for naps on the go.

Not too late at all! I didn't get my ergo until T was 3 months. He has just now really started enjoying it at 7 months!

Not at all! I didn't really start using the Ergo with DD until she was around 5-6 months. Before, I could never get the infant insert to work well.

I second the Tula comment!
A Tula standard can hold up to 45 lbs. You might have to start with short stretches and work your way up time wise though.
Plus, they hold their value better for eventual resale.
