Hubby and I were discussing today whether it would be ridiculous to buy a new stroller that’s weight rated for an older kid. Our daughter is 5, and we’re looking at a bunch of trips next year, including Disney, where I know we’ll be walking big distances. When we did Disney in February, we brought our old umbrella stroller, which is way too small for her now, but it helped get us through some big distances in the park, and someone recommended a version that goes to 55 lbs.

But she’s 5, and I’m wondering if I’m going to run into major bystander judgement if we use a stroller occasionally. Or if I’m doing her any harm/disservice by using one? This is literally just for anywhere we’d have big distances, and honestly is more for me, because I have a back problem and can’t really carry her if she gets tired out. Thoughts?
