We conceived DD2 two weeks after I weaned DD1. It was our fourth month trying and first cycle post weaning. I'd have liked to have continued nursing but DD was ready.

Following this. I only got my cycle back at 23 month, once we were down to one feed. She is super attached to bedime boob, so I'm really hoping I don't have to drop it to get pregnant.

6 cycles with almost full weaning towards the end but nothing until I fully weaned. 5 weeks after I weaned fully we got pregnant. That was cycle 7. My body can't seem to get pregnant while nursing but many women can. Good luck!

We started trying while I was still nursing, but my cycles were really wonky. It wasn't until I dropped to nursing once a day that I conceived. I continued to nurse for 6-8 more weeks after I got pregnant before Xander self-weaned.

My son was 11 months and I was still nursing on demand but I'd stopped pumping at work. We were NTNP, had been since he was born but I didn't get my period until 8 months.
He's 13 months now and we're down to twice a day, I'd intended to let him self-wean but I'm back and forth on it. He loves his cows milk so idk I may give myself a break before #2

4 months pregnant, just weaned my 27 month old last month. Had been NTNP since I had her- got my cycle back the month after I had her.

I got pregnant when DD was 8 months old. I was still breastfeeding (no formula but she was eating solids). My period had been back for months though. As soon as I got pregnant my supply took a serious hit (went from pumping 12-15 oz/day to 3 oz/day in a matter of weeks). Luckily I had a good freezer stash so we are going to make it to the one year mark, barely. She is still nursing some (I'm 17 weeks), but I stopped pumping weeks ago as it wasn't worth it. I think the nursing she does now is more for comfort because while she is getting some milk, it can't be much.

I was still BFing when TTC #2 and it took me about 9 months. But #1 did take a year so I wasn't surprised. We were down to about t2x a day then. I weaned her about 4m into the pregnancy.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and my two year old is still bf'ing 3 times a day but my milk has just dried up so she's now just dry-nursing. AF returned in late December at 14.5 months pp, we started TTC in June and conceived in early July but I'm pretty sure our timing was off in June. I was surprised we got our BFP so soon considering it took twelve months of TTC to conceive our first.

I got pregnant while still nursing our then 12m old twice a day. It took only one month of NTNP to conceive #2. We were really, really lucky/fortunate.

We got pregnant on our first cycle of TTC while I was breastfeeding, and LO was 10.5 months old. I was nursing about 6 times a day around then, if not more. I breastfed through my whole pregnancy.

@Anutka: good luck to you too I hope it happens soon
@MrsMccarthy: thanks I remember a lil of your journey to getting pregnant with # 2. That's what made me think about it because the original plan was to start after LO turned 1 and I was going to wean him then but since plans changed and I am not ready to wean just yet, I was wondering.
@Adira: how old was Xander when he weaned?
@NeekieRose: my LO is 8 months now and I got AF back at 3 months pp but my problem is that I don't have a good freezer stachs at all. I only have 2 8oz bags because I just pump a day in advance for what he needs but I'm hoping I can work something out because if I do get pregnant now I don't want to have to give him formula after all my hard work of preventing it for so long.
@Rainbow Sprinkles: wow I hope I can be the same way. That would be awesome even though I only plan to bf LO until he's 1 which is only another 4 months. Thanks
@oliviaoblivia: @Corduroy: @Pumuckl: @Kemma: @regberadaisy: @LulaBee: @jetsa: thanks all you ladies are a big help.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant with #2 and still BF DS on demand at 13 months. Some days I will only feed him 2-3 times but if he's teething or unwell it's more. I got my cycles back 4 months PP and surprisingly got pregnant first cycle trying. I will continue to BF throughout the pregnancy and once the baby is here as long as it works

@Honeygold89: I was using ovulation tests to find out when I was ovulating before we started trying. I started ovulation testing at 8 months pp, ovulated finally just after 12 months pp, and got pregnant that cycle. She was stilll nursing a lot at that time. I am still nursing at 15 weeks pregnant, and plan to nurse until she self weans. She still nurses 4 or 5 times a day. My supply has seemingly remained the same.

I didn't get my first period postpartum until my son was 12.5 months old. I conceived on that next cycle. We weren't really trying. And my son was still bed sharing with us at the time and up many times throughout the night nursing and still nursing multiple times a day. I think I nursed him until like 4 months pregnant. I dried up and it was a little painful so I weaned him.

@mrskc: My supply has just disappeared in the last ten days and dry nursing sucks!

@Honeygold89: 6 months pp, but really long irregular cycles right up until we conceived!

I wasn't TTC but I got pregnant with lo2 when lo1 was nine months old. I didn't have a period and he was nursing around 8 times a day.
That's not that helpful I know. But I did keep nursing until fifteen months, when I was six months pregnant. For me it got pretty uncomfortable in the second trimester and I had nursing aversion so I was ready to be done.

@mrskc: I got mines at 3 months pp n we've been preventing so hopefully it works this cycle for us. Thanks
@Rockies11: my cycles have been regular since 3 months pp just like before my pregnancy.
@jedeve: thanks every comment is very helpful to me!

@Kemma: Yeah the dry nursing was not fun. We were down to just one session a day before nap. I started offering milk in a bottle and he guzzled it down and never asked to nurse again. Made weaning easy but I was sad too. I want to nurse DD until she's at least two.
