Hi! I was just wondering if any of you ladies that are TTC have eliminated diet coke from their diets? I have significantly cut back on my consumption while on BC just to get used to the idea. Yesterday (Sunday) was my first day officially off BC in 16 years, and we BD'd. NOw, I know it would be extremely rare if it "took" this first time. But I kind of panicked when I realized that I drank a 20 oz bottle of diet coke. In a normal day, this would be one of about 3. I know caffeine should be limited during this time to 200 mg (I believe??). One bottle has 78 mg. My real question is: the aspartame in diet coke. There's mixed messages out there, some say it's harmful to your DNA (the more extreme articles) and therefore stay in your body etc. Others say it's approved and safe, etc.
What do you do? Cut it out completely? Enjoy in moderation? What is "moderation" to you?
