@emilia80 I have been happy with this app as it will adjust O prediction based on the opk results and cm tracking. If this isn't my cycle I will add in bbt as well. I have Fertility Friend as well, and use them both. I like the Ovia one better for visual reasons.
@shannonrenee0201 Sounds like all 3 of us are on a similar schedule. I will be heading into my 3rd ttc cycle as well if no bfp next week. I am prepared for it to take a while as I am in my 30's and been on hbcp for many years. It is nice to enjoy chatting with others in your same predicament during this time. I don't know about you two but we are not letting on to anyone that we are ttc so DH is my only one to chat about this stuff. And as a man he just doesn't understand all the ins and outs, although he does his very best

@Swoggette: I also got that app after I saw you posted something about it. It's pretty cool. And my SO and I are also keeping it on the down low. So I have no one to talk to except him too. I like talking to him about it because it's exciting for both of us but I like talking to other ladies about it because I can tell yall would understand a little better lol. I've never been on BC and we are both 22. The only thing we tried different this cycle was Preseed and OPKs. It's weird though because everyone around us are either already had babies or are pregnant and we've learned it's definitely not as easy as everyone makes it seem. I hope you get your BFP next week!

@Swoggette: I downloaded the app, but I can't see where it predicts O day. It showed fertile window but no O day. Where should I be looking for it?
Same as u girls, haven't told no1 we are ttc besides one friend who is also trying. But I don't like to say too much now to her and want to keep it on the down low.
I recently came off bcp in December and although my periods came back like clock work the first 2 cycles only lasted like 2 days and were very light but this month omg sorry for tmi but was bucket loads. And I'm still going. So maybe that has something to do with not getting my bfp yet..??? My cm has also been watery and not ewcm, so wondering if it's bc my body still trying to change coming off bcp.
I'm 34 soon to be 35! So we are the same.
Have u had your amh tested?? I did and it freaks me out, but I was on bcp when I had it done, wondering if being on bcp affects your numbers?? I want to have it retested but wanted to wait 6months off bcp to do it. It scares me that it's on the low side.
Glad to have u girls to chat with. Let's keep this thread alive and update each other on our journey. Wouldn't it be fun if we all got our bfp the same time. Would love that.

@emilia80 and @shannonrenee0201 Excited you two are trying it out! So, the more data the better. I went back and entered my period info since September. Once you have done that there is a key at the bottom of the calendar feature and it shows that the green boxes are your projected fertile time (which it sounds like you found). Now with my wonky cycle and cm last cycle my estimated O days were incorrect as I think it was annovulatory. So I had af- and tmi from me too it was awful and LOOONNGG, but I felt as if my system was resetting itself- and started on my opks the last day as it was so light. Had a positive at 10 dpo and cm that was very indicative of fertile time and the app adjusted itself approximating my most fertile time 3 daps prior to the + opk and 1 day after. And with the signs I was having I feel like I O'd around cd 11. I suppose if I had been tracking my bbt it would be even more accurate, but really I am attempting to relax and just have fun as this will be our last baby. If no conception this cycle I will probably add it in, but I can barely remember to take a vitamin. lol

You are a month ahead of me So, I bet you are right about your body (and hormones!) and cm trying to regulate after bcp. My first period off them was very short too. I have not had my amh tested. I probably should at some point if we don't conceive. But truth be told, we have 2 kiddos, 10 and 7. We were told a 3rd csection was frowned upon when we had our son so we never questioned it. I switched ob's and asked her what she thought and I was surprised to hear that is not the case, (even after reviewing all my prior doctor and hospital notes) and their practice is also pro trial of labor after csection. SO, here I am, trying for our 3rd. I am much more laid back this time around.

Now that I have written a novel (I tend to do that) I am happy to have you two to chat with too. It would be so exciting to have us get bfp's around the same time!

@Swoggette: played around with the app, wow so different to the one I use. So much more info. I still can't find the o day. It shows fertility days but doesn't highlight o day. I'll keep navigating and hopefully I'll be able to work my around it.
That's great u have 2 kids, it proves u can get pregnant, so I prob wouldn't even worry bout the amh levels. I just thought this was your first lo1! I guess for us it will just take a bit more time bc we r older.
I'm starting clomid tomorrow bc I just didn't want to waste time, given the fact I have only one tube did t want risk wasting more time also bc of age. I pray it works. I'm just worried it will make me o earlier. As I have a holiday planned around Initial o day this month I just hope it doesn't stuff up my cycle. Oh well what is meant to be will be I guess.
I keep trying to take a relaxed approach but then I jump on here and read stories and I think about my one tube, age and low amh it freaks me out. I'm so scared it'll never happen.

I am on cd 21 today and my ovia app says I can test in 8 days. Which would be the day of expected period. I'll try to hold off testing til then lol. @Swoggette: that's great to hear that you have 2 kids!! and @Emilia80: will this be your first? I will def keep yall in my thoughts hoping both of you get BFPs!

So I have a question, it's totally tmi... Lol but on cd 9 (2 days after my period ended) I had very light pink discharge when I wiped. I thought maybe it's just leftover from my period but the next day (cd 10) I had it again and then about the middle of the day I had wiped and saw EWCM with a bright red string of blood in it! It definitely freaked me out because I've never seen that before and I thought it was too early for O day. Then on cd 12 I got my positive opk test. Does that sound off to yall? The test was light but the test line was clearly darker than the control line. So I stopped testing then an assumed I O'd on either cd 13 or 14 and think I'm 7 or 8 DPO now. But the EWCM was so weird. I have actually never got that at all before like I've never noticed it (even the past 2 cycles I've been ttc) during my fertile time either. Just that one time with a blood streak in it... Weird.

@Shannonrenee0201: sorry I dint know much about ewcm atm bc I've just come off bcp few moths ago so my cm is pretty much just watery. My body hasn't really gotten back into regulating even though my cycles are already back like clockwork. So sorry can't be much help.

Yes this is my first ttc.

@emilia80 I think I am more relaxed because of already conceiving in the past. I remember worrying so much before conceiving out first. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

@shannonrenee0201 it could have just been a bit of leftover from af? This cycle I ended af on day 6 and started having ewcm on cd 8. Which I thought was odd, so I started opks real quick like. Had a positive okp on cd10! Last cycle all I had was watery cm so the ewcm was (tmi) so pronounced and so much!

Little story to share. I live in a really small community, and 2 ladies I have known since childhood are the best of friends. The one had cervical cancer in her 20's and had a very slim chance of ever bearing a child. Last year she and her husband were successful with an ivf procedure and she was pregnant, which sadly was lost. We were all broken with her. A subsequent pregnancy would likely take her life. Now, they had 3 fertilized embryos still frozen and waiting. Now what?

So her best friend (close as sisters) has had 3 healthy pregnancies and her youngest is 5. She decided to offer up her womb to this couple and be a surrogate. They reluctantly agreed. So, after much hormone therapy and doctors visits they defrosted the embryos and 2 made it though and they had 2 implanted. (tears and goosebumps) Both embryos made it, and she is pregnant with their twins and is 10 weeks along today.

I am lucky enough to document their journey with my photography. They are such an amazing group, I wanted to share this with you ladies.

    Happy Monday.

Hi ladies, I've been lurking this thread for a little while! I just started ttc for baby #2. And I just got the Ovia app! I get to test in 6 days, yay.
Last time I was ttc I didn't have a smart phone so I was tracking things manually on a paper chart, ha!

    @Swoggette: Wow, amazing story!

@wrkbrk @emilia80 @shannoneenee0201 thank you ladies. I am quite surprised to see 2 lines. Symptomatically I was leaning towards thinking I would get a bfp but not for a little longer. @shannonrenee0201 my nipples and outside of each breast have been sensitive and achy which I don't get with af. So I was a bit suspicious.

@emilia80 enjoy your holiday and happy ovulation!

That story of my friends makes me tear up every time I talk (type) anything about it. Pregnancy in itself is such an emotional journey. But this is over the top for me. Very honored to be a part of their road to parenthood.

I will be keeping up with is thread to hear all your progress and keeping fx for bfp for you all!

@Swoggette: wow congrats to you! and that was only your second month trying? so awesome!

@Emilia80: @Shannonrenee0201: thanks ladies, this is my first month ttc for #2, and it took me 6 months (including a miscarriage) to get LO1, so kind of planning for this to take a while! maybe I missed this info from earlier posts- but how long have you all been ttc?

@Shannonrenee0201: fingers crossed for you! I am going to test in 5 days, but not very hopeful, as we only bd'ed once during my fertile time frame. We need to try harder for the next cycle! I dont think DH will mind

@lady grey @shannonrenee0201 FX for you ladies testing soon. Lots of baby dust your way

@lady grey indeed it was my 2nd cycle trying. So I am a bit surprised. But I am only get faint positives on the FRER and bfn's on the wondfo tests. I am a poas-aholic so I am going to ignore any more tests until next week. Waiting for a strong positive.

@Emilia80: sending sticky baby dust your way for next week during O time!
@Swoggette: Hope that line gets darker! Is there anything different you did this ttc cycle?
@lady grey: FX for you testing!! I'm right in front of you testing in 4 days (day af is supposed to arrive, really hoping she don't lol)
I may test before then though. I'll keep yall posted!

  27. Shannonrenee0201

    coffee bean / 35 posts

@Swoggette: oh I meant to add, I think I've read somewhere that frer is pretty sensitive so maybe that's why the other tests aren't picking up because they're less sensitive?

  28. Swoggette

    cherry / 134 posts

@shannonrenee0201 Nothing different this cycle but paying really close attention to my body and using opks. I think last cycle was annovulatory and was excited to O this month. I am still getting faint positives and am a POAS-aholic and have to step away from them. Hoping things darken up next week around the time af would be due.

Can't wait to hear from you ladies next week for Testing week
