Quite the opposite of my first pregnancy when I worked at a desk most of the day, I am now a busy SAHM with an active 2 year old to chase after all day, so I'm on my feet pretty much all day.
Around 16 weeks, I started noticing tingly pain (but not swelling) in the backs of both legs. After consulting with my doc, he suggested it was no big deal and just to wear compression stockings which I have been doing. Over the past week or two, the pain is pretty low but the physical appearance of my calves has been getting progressively worse. They don't look like spider veins or varicose...just big bruisy blotches all over. I'm trying not to be too vain (ha...ha) but we have a lot of dressy events coming up, plus warmer weather, and even DH, who does not care what any one thinks, feels for me because my legs look so beat up.
i know this comes with the territory, but does anyone have any suggestions other than ugly crying about it and long dresses?
