He walked before he stood without support at 14m. It escalated pretty quick.

My LO didn't really go in that order. He took a few steps each day before he could stand well on his own. I mean he could stand but not indefinitely. And he couldn't stand himself up unless he was pulling up. He started taking steps in January at 10.5 months and a couple weeks later he started standing himself up in the middle of the floor. After that it was just a few days before he was able to start walking pretty well. By 12 months he was running.

@espion: I hope he walks soon so he can get into that daycare! I had no idea how long it would be between standing and walking. DS was wary of standing, so I thought we'd be waiting a lot longer than a week. BTW, this us my 1000th post - woohoo!

It took B about 2 months from first steps to being able to walk across the room (with lots of cajoling!). Even though he could walk, he was still too nervous to most of the time. Then after about 2 weeks he started walking all over the house and hasn't stopped since!

DS has been standing on his own for about a couple weeks and started taking a few steps on his own this past week. Each day seems to accumulate a few more steps. After 10 steps, he'll squat or change to crawling mode. It took him a lil while to gain confidence to let go of cruising and just walk on his own, but he did it on his own so yay!

She started standing on her own in December sometime. Really good around Christmas. First week of Jan she took her 1st step. Then the first week in February, one day she took 10 steps in a row and then was off!
