Looking for a warm knit hat for DD that will actually fit a newborn--the ones we have are 0-3 months and they are massive. I need something more substantial than the little cotton hats that come with carter's outfits, etc. Any suggestions?

We had good luck with Zutano hats and booties.

@hilsy85: I missed that you had her!! Congratulations!! For reference, I pulled my newborn sized hat out. It's the mandarin one and the circumference is right under 12".

We had a zutano hat and it was big for the first few weeks but they grow into it really quickly! Babies heads grow so fast. But they are really cute and soft. Ours had little bear ears on it. She is just precious, btw.

Knitted one from gap! I have three this time around because R practically lived in the pink one we had because it's the only one that stayed on/fit!

We have a bunch of hats and I have noticed that some are huge. I never realized that baby hats had sizes. Luckily some preemie outfits came with hats.
What color knit hat are you looking for? I might have one.
