DH asked me what I want to do on Mom's day. I work every Sunday, so we are celebrating on Saturday instead. Can't think of any good ideas...LO still takes two naps per day so our time out for adventures is fairly limited.
What are you doing to celebrate?

We are going to a winery for lunch-they have BBQ and bluegrass and kids are welcome. Then we are going to DH's uncle, who hosts Mother's Day every year for the family

We will be at my youngest sister's Master's graduation and then we are having a graduation/mother's day/grandmomma's day celebration dinner.

@Seattlemom: I think we went to the zoo last Mother's Day. We did brunch with family on Saturday bc it's just less crowded. This year I would love to go to Salty's for brunch (I'm also in the Seattle are) but I'm in my first trimester and don't know if it's worth it when I'm having all kinds of food aversions. I love their brunch!

@singingbee & @Smurfette: you guys are lucky to get to do stuff with family! We don't have any close family here so it'll just be our little family of three.
@sandy: I love Salty's brunch too! We actually live pretty close to there. And we actually went there last year on Mothers day when I was 8+ months preg. You're right, prob not worth it to go if you are having lots of food aversions. The brunch is amazing but you do pay a pretty penny for it.

I had to look up Mothers day. Crap. It's the day before my cumulative microbiology final *pulls hair out*. We may have to postpone doing anything.

@Mrs. Pen: Ugh! Just celebrate the following weekend! Good like with your microbio final. I did not enjoy that class so much myself.

@Seattlemom: It's okay. I don't hate it - though most of my classmates do. I guess I "get it" because it feels a lot like first-year bio. But it seems pretty pointless to my major, which I've heard from every nurse I've talked to!! I'm actually more worried about my A&P final which is May 1!! And thank you

@Mrs. Pen: Have you taken pathophysiology yet? now that was tough! I enjoyed pharmacology though. Nursing school is really hard! I'm impressed you are doing it as a mom. Being a nurse in real life is not as hard as nursing school, promise!

@Seattlemom: No, I start the actual nursing classes this fall - I just got accepted to the program a month ago! So I was doing pre-reqs. I didn't know you are a nurse!!

@blackbird: I love that idea! I just checked our local vineyard and they have something similar on both Saturday and Sunday. I may ask DH if we can do that on Saturday and then spend Sunday with our respective mothers.

@Mrs. Pen: Pediatric! I love it. Although some things are harder to deal with now that I am a mom. I get more emotional for sure.
