I need ideas! We don't plan on getting him a whole lot because I know the grandparents will go overboard, but I can't really narrow it down!

She's getting a toddler bed/bedding, a cowgirl hat, a book and probably some stocking stuffers. One will likely be a jump rope because she keeps using everything as a jump rope

Regifting yet to be opened birthday presents (birthday was in September and there were way too many). Lots of shoes and rain gear. Grandparents are losing their minds so I don't feel bad at all. 15 months.

My twins will be almost 20 months then. They are getting Anywhere chairs as their big gift from DH and me. My parents and sisters are getting them art supplies, and easel, and table and chairs. Everything else I've gotten them are smallish things - some new dishes, soft alphabet magnets for the fridge, sticker activity books, a Melissa and Doug wooden cookie set, and a city rug to play with their cars.

We are getting her a learning tower, some books, a dream blanket by Aden and anais. I'm sure the grandparents will go out of control even though we told them not to get anything. Oh and she will be 20 months old!

An old school metal Tonka Truck I found at a thrift store and cleaned up. He LOVES trucks and wheels right now. I also picked up a truck book with wheels for his stocking today. (Actually more for the long Christmas car ride).Besides the truck he got Christmas PJ's that he's already wearing cause he doesn't have enough. And we'll get some food for his stocking.

We are struggling with this too. My DS will be 19 months but he has a 3 year old brother so I feel like we really have so much. His big gift to share with bro is a ride on side-by-side. He is also getting a remote control Thomas, some books and ????

Still a bit unsure. My son will also be 21 months. We just moved so one idea is a new table and chairs (his size) for his play room and a teepee. Stocking stuffers: stickers, DVDs for long car rides, board books.

Same age: Magnatiles (to share with big bro) a couple action heroes, a couple small go go smart wheels sets, and a ridiculous stuffed penguin that plays Christmas music. Also color wonder markers.

21 month old will be getting a 3 wheel scooter, a kid Kraft table and chairs, a truck (random thing I bought to subdue him at target and decided to just keep for an Xmas gift, and a bunch of books. He will get plenty from grandparents/aunties and uncles.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
The only thing I have for him is a kid size broom and dust pan. And uh that's it so far. He is the only grandchild/nephew in the family so he wants for nothing.

My 19 mo old will be getting her first set of duplos, magnets for the fridge, a magna doodle, a book.... and I don't know what else. Maybe one or two more little things.

Lo is 20 months and for Hanukkah we are giving her a doll high chair (the doll was an early Hanukkah present), new sneakers, a toy watch (she likes pointing out ours and tries to wear them), some play good for her kitchen, and a couple other things. Grandparents went nuts-- I know she's getting a diaper bag for her doll, a doll cradle, and a play piano. Probably more

Well he will 17mo, but we got him a play grill, a Melissa and Doug animal stamp set, a fairly large (and probably meant for 5 year old) police car with buttons for sirens which he is gonna lose it over, converse shoes (he's obsessed with his shoes), and books.

He is 24 months and he is getting a basketball hoop, tow mater toy, Daniel tiger trolley and friends, baby doll, letter and number flash cards and letter and number foam mats- from Dollar tree! Daddy chose a new book for him.
His birthday was a few days ago and we got him practical stuff, clothes, shoes and books because I wanted to save toys for Christmas!

LO is 18 months, we do Hanukkah and Christmas - so too many presents, but lots of little stuff.
Soap sock
Fischer price doctor set
Zoli cup
OXO spoon and fork set
Pillow and cute pillowcase
Skip hop backpack
We still plan to get some books, socks, and crayons/art supplies
My mom is getting him a play kitchen and I'm sure the ILs will go CRAZY - FIL works in a toy store.
DH also made him a learning tower, but we gave it to him a week ago, so he could help bake cookies.
persimmon / 1273 posts
We got him a play kitchen, but that is also sort of a piece of furniture to fill out the playroom in our new house. We also got him an Elmo doll because he has developed an intense Elmo obsession lately. And then a book and a couple of matchbox cars for his stocking. He's realllllllly excited about everything this year but still doesn't understand, so we won't go super crazy.

You guys are awesome! Thank you for all the info, I'm going to look into them!
Lots of play kitchens going on! I think for his birthday in March I'll get him a play workbench, I keep seeing them around and they look so fun.
I found a mini big wheel at home goods today, so that's a start. But otherwise I think I want to get him a backpack, balls and trucks (obsessed) and who knows. My husband wants to get him a slide, anyone have one? Thoughts?
eggplant / 11408 posts
I have no idea. I keep changing my mind. I was going to get an Ikea play kitchen, but then decided against it. Now, we are thinking maybe a slide for her new room?? But I have also considered a Rody, or something she could climb. She's always, always climbing, but I need something for indoors that isn't a zillion dollars.
ETA: she's nearly 20 months.

@nana87: happy Hannukah, lovely! So will your parents give her things every day??? That would overwhelm me so much!
@MOMTOLITTLEB: oh right, I forgot-her daddy bought her that Daniel Tiger trolley and a DT book about going to the potty. I haven't really bought anything yet!!
@jill_a55: I'm not sure what slide to get...part of me wants one attached to a play structure, but that also sounds kinda big. But the girl love climbing and sliding, so I'm not sure.

@jill_a55: I am pretty sure I'm getting this slide:

@LovelyPlum: thanks! she won't get a present everyday from grandparents, my mil is just the kind of person who loves shopping and goes super overboard climbing you sounds so fun! We have a play kitchen (from mil for her 1st bday) and r plays with it all the time

Xylophone (big brother is getting a guitar) and a balance bike. Then mainly cars and books in his stocking.

@jill_a55: We like the Step 2 anything for outdoor equipment. Have you checked Kid To Kid or Once Upon a Child? I know there's one of them off Cactus and the 101. We got our outdoor slide at the one in Ahwatukee (ie. shop the nicer neighborhoods for really awesome cheaper stuff!) for about half of what they sell them for at Toys R Us.
apricot / 448 posts
@LovelyPlum: I just got home from target with that exact slide! I like that it can fold.. Not that we ever will because he'll be on it all day. My dh was thinking like a jungle gym type something but I think that can wait a couple years!
@lemondrop: why didn't I think of those places!? I am right by them. I see them all the time. Duh. I may have to swing by one and see what I can find.
