My favorite, like you, is Southwest. I think their flight attendants are great and I appreciate that I get to choose where I want to sit after the boarding process instead of assigned seating.

I hate pretty much everything about Frontier. They nickel and dime you for every little thing.

US air royally screwed us over on our honeymoon. There was a tropical storm and all flights were cancelled. The airline employees at the airport literally put up a "all flights cancelled" sign and walked away. There was no one to talk to! We couldn't make outgoing calls, so I had to text my parents hoping they were awake, and have them contact the airline for us. they wanted us to pay for a new flight. It was a miserable experience.

My husband walked over the American Airlines, spoke to someone there, and they got us on the next flight out. We missed our connection and no questions asked, AA got a hotel for the night, a dinner voucher and a shuttle to/from our hotel and got us home the first flight the next morning.

I was so thankful I wrote them a letter & they've used it in a few marketing materials.

I'm right with you! Love southwest, hate united. United is the only airline that flies to my mom's family (Guam) without also having to fly through Japan or Korea ... But I'm seriously considering doubling the length of travel for our next trip to avoid them. Awful service and crappy, crowded planes.

Southwest on the other hand is great. You get what you pay for and more.

I really like Delta (maybe I'm a weirdo)...but I live in a city that's a Delta hub, so there are flights that go everywhere. A lot of my friends growing up had Delta pilot dads, including my bff, so I guess I just feel loyal to them, ha.

Frontier is on my shit list ever since they lost my luggage. There were huge hail storms in Denver which apparently damaged a lot of their planes, so there were these crazy delays. I was going to my cousin's wedding for only a few days so I just packed a carry-on. When I finally did get on a flight, the flustered flight attendant told me there was no more space and I had to gate-check my bag. Fine, whatever, I can just pick it up at the door for my next connection, right? WRONG. She insisted that they can ONLY check it to the final destination, asked me where I was going, wrote some gibberish on the tag and handed it to me. I looked at it and said "are you sure that's the correct airport code?" and gave me the DEATH STARE. Umm, yeah, it was definitely the WRONG code. My bag never made it. Luckily I had another cousin who lived in the city that is roughly the same size as me who I could borrow clothes from. I was there for about a week, the bag never showed up. I went to the airport every day to talk to someone. I was assured that in situations like this they would reimburse me up to $100 for things that I needed, like, uhh, clean underwear, a toothbrush and the like. I'm still waiting for that $$ and it's been 3 years. I called every week for 6 months and it's like the records vanished into thin air. A month later, I get a call from the Des Moines airport asking me if I was going to pick up my luggage. I have never been to Iowa. They fed-exed my bag next day. Never been so happy to see luggage in my life!!

Alaska Air is my fave domestic carrier. Cathay, ANA and British Airways have all been great internationally.

Air Canada is fine if you are flying biz. Their service is rather hit or miss in economy.

HATE flying, to the point that I practically black out when I am on the plane. However, I did tolerate Jet Blue the most

Favorite: Southwest. They are the only airline that flies direct to where my folks live. You don't have to pay for luggage or schedule changes. On international flights Aeromexico and LAN Chile have been good, too.

Least favorite: DELTA!!!! (sorry @chopsuey and @medianaranja) Mainly because I had bad experiences with them last week. They involuntarily bumped me from a flight and were nasty to me both on the phone and in person.

Domestic: alaska air is my favorite. International: Singapore air
Don't really have a least favorite. Maybe Philippines air - just because of the airport in manila though.

I heartily hate United! Since we only travel internationally we now try to make sure we always make it to an airport where we can fly directly with Lufthansa which has some of the best kids’ policies I know of.

Back when I used to fly, Delta. I love the warm washcloths they give you to freshen up or whatever. I hate southwest! OMG I hate them!

My favorie is an airline called PrivatJet, it's a business class only airline that flies between the US and Europe. That's the closest I will ever come to a private jet. I also like Singapore Airlines.

Worst: pretty much all of the US carriers.

Not a fan of Alitalia - won't fly with them again!
I loved my experience on Virgin.

Southwest is always great.

Everyone else is pretty meh in general.

JetBlue is the best.

I fucking hate United with the passion of a thousand suns; and not just because I'm now into MONTH 4 of waiting for a refund of my tickets for a flight cancelled *by* united - they are still "looking for paperwork" on a flight they cancelled!! Ridiculous! I'll never fly them again.

@PixieStix: yeah pretty much! It's so frustrating because they cancelled both the outgoing and return flights due to a winter storm; it's clear-cut, give me my money back! I'll just keep pestering them...

There's not really any that I love but I hate Westjet!

Like: Cathay was very nice. I also like Jet Blue.

Dislike: United. We're flying them in August, and I'm prepared for the worst.
