Cards Against Humanity wouldn't work in my group (lots of non native English speakers, not from this country).
We have Jenga, a game called Wasabi that I picked up at a board game store, Monopoly, Pictionary, The Big Bang Theroy Party Game (unopened). I also have Trivial Pursuit the 90s edition somewhere, at least i hope I do!
I am always looking for more, I love board games.

@snowjewelz: what's it about?
I really want to try Cards Against Humanity!
We played Battle of the Sexes a few months ago. I was initially a little perturbed but it's actually funny!

@regberadaisy: it's literally a device where you put whip cream on it and you take turns turning a knob and you won't know if the device is gonna pie your face

@NCSUchick27: I looooooove Ticket to Ride. My brother loves board games and has a new one every time I see him but I always just want to play Ticket to Ride.

I love games! Favorites include
- Munchkin (based of D&D, you fight monsters and go up levels to win)
- Pandemic (cooperative game where you're trying to cure the world of disease)
- Settlers of Catan (kind of like monopoly)
- Arkham Horror (amazing cooperative game but very complicated and takes a long time to play)
- Apples to Apples
-Fact or Crap (trivia)
- Catch Phrase (team word guessing game)
- Rumicube (like the card game Rummy, but you can rearrange the groupings)
- Scrabble
- Pit (like go fish, but without turns)
- Cranium (combo of pictionary, charades, trivia)

Hear me out- but a great game to play with a group is dominos! I know there's lot of variations but we play a really fun version. Everyone is always unsure about it but ends up buying a set!
I'm sure there's a name of this style but I don't know it. If someone does, chime in.
1. we each pull 7 dominos (flipped over so can't see). Each round starts with the double of that round's number. Start with blank/blank, next round one/one...last round is thirteen/thirteen etc. You draw from pile until that round's starter double is pulled.
2. Each double has to get three branches off it to "close" that double out. So for first round the blank/blank would need 3 branches off of it. I could lay a blank/four, you lay a blank/eleven, next person a blank/six. you get it. If you don't have a domino to match, you draw a new piece and miss a turn(even if you pulled a blank tile).
3. Once three branches are off the double its a free board and you can match any open ends (the 11 and 4 and 6 from example above).
4. Continue playing and making the tree until someone is down to no dominos. Everyone else who lost that round tallies up their dominos and records it.
5. Flip dominos over and proceed to the next round
6. Low score at the end wins!

Small group games are our favourites, and we like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and Dominion. I also will forever love Trivial Pursuit (yay Canadian-invented game!) and Scattergories!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: There's a Hollywood Game Night app - I haven't played it but it might be fun for a friend game night?

Oh also Maahjong. It's basically like playing cards, but the tiles somehow make it different.

When we have game nights, we usually play:
Settler of Catan

Phase 10
Less often scattergories. I've heard good things about pandemic, bang bang, and a few others that I can't remember...

I'm a bit of a board game geek. Some others mentioned the ever popular Cards Against Humanity, but there are some other niche games that are super fun to play.
- Coup (short game, 15 minutes, easy to learn, ideal 4 - 6 players)
- Resistance (also short, team game)
- Werewolf (needs someone good at narrating, can have up to 60+ players)
- Pandemic (cooperative game, ideal 4 - 6 players0
- Red Dragon Inn
- King of Tokyo
- Hanabi
- Tokaido
- Anomia (fast paced, anxiety inducing, keeps everyone on their toes)
- Snake Oil (if you like Cards Against Humanity, you'll like this)
- Telestrations (like broken telephone with drawing)
