We moved into our new house a couple months ago and I have been thinking about putting some more wall decor up and have a pretty good plan but I have no clue what to do with our long hall way. I don't want to overwhelm it since it's not that wide of a hallway and there is no space to step back and admire...but it feels so bland. What did you do?

We have a b/w photo of our city from long time ago, and 2 hand drawn pen drawings of our city as well.

We are slowly creating a gallery wall. We're also in the process of painting, so the whole hallway will be the light gray color soon.

We have a gallery wall too. But it's more of a hodgepodge than most gallery walls I see (we basically have two-three of each type of frame). But I like it. I've also seen people who have large frames interspersed with smaller frames inbetween, which I liked!

Oooooooh we don't have hallways in our house like that, but I would totally load it up with a gallery. The closest I have is the entry way from the garage through the family room into the kitchen, so it's not much wall to work with. Maybe I'll do a handful of white frames lined up leading into the house.

Mirrors, vacation photo galleries, professional photographs from places we've lived/are from, family photo galleries. And a couple framed art prints.

Maybe some of the more dainty pieces at places like Home Goods and such? Smaller paintings, 2 matching mirrors (one hung slightly higher than the other), a few family photos. You can always start small with a few things and add later. Looks like a lovely home from this snapshot of the hallway. Congrats!

In the bedroom hall, we have a gallery on both sides. One is of us in "characters" on small canvases, the other side is in traditional frames. It contains a portrait, our wedding invitation, birth announcement, etc.

We have a big botanical hanging- our hallway is small so that's the only art.

No pictures because we haven't actually completed this yet, but we are planning on hanging 6 16x20 black-and white photos of the southwest framed in plain white Ikea frames.
My grandma's aunt and uncle were photo enthusiasts, and spent their retirement in the 50s and 60s traveling around the southwest taking these photos. So neat family history, plus they are just great photos!
I think I will paint the hallway a pretty deep blue color for some contrast.

We have a large print we got for our wedding (my cousin uses fresh fish to do imprints on silk), and StoryPeople prints on either side of it. Since the hall is sort of narrow, we just have those three on one side of the wall.
Our gallery wall is more out in the open where people can stand back and get a better look at the photos.
