Preparing kid # 1 for baby #2.
Real stories of bringing home baby #2 and what the adjustment phase was like!
A detailed post about deciding to go from WOHM to SAHM or vice versa.

I would love more guest posts from parents of various cultures and people living abroad about the differences in raising children in their cultures.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@cmomma17: haha maybe I should submit a guest post. You know, because I will have ALL this free time when #2 comes home.

I'll be honest, I got really scared when I saw a picture posted of Olive on the Hellobeedotcom IG account of her buried in sand. I'm sure they were being careful, but there a lot of people that don't realize the dangers of digging tunnels in the sand, burring your children (especially over the chest), and digging holes that can collapse. I commented on the picture that I would love to see a post about beach/sand safety.

@locavore_mama: seriously I would love it! I want all the nitty gritty details!!! ETA: and good luck to you!
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@cmomma17: @T.H.O.U.: haha all the August due date mamas submit a guest swarm post! LOL

I would also love to see shared room spaces. L and Sis will be sharing a room when #3 comes eventually.
I really enjoy seeing blog posts about sensitive and serious topics: PPD, IF, initial gender disappointment, basically when things aren't all rainbows and sunshine.
I'd really love to see posts about anxiety - I never heard much about PP Anxiety and that one hit me hard but I didn't know what it was!
I also like blog posts about activities to do with children, whether it be crafts, outings, developmental, fun and frivolous, traveling...

@locavore_mama: My baby isn't due til the end of February, so you've got some time to pull it together! I'll wait ...

@T.H.O.U.: haha I'm going to go ask in our Gold post.

@swurlygurl: I would love to see a post on PP anxiety too. I was hesitant to get help because I didn't fit the classic PPD symptoms - little did I know I was TEXTBOOK PPA!
I would love to see posts on development activity ideas - fine motor skills, large motor skills, etc. I'm always looking for ideas for learning while at play.

There are great ideas here! @arden: have you seen Cup of Jo's blog posts about Americans parenting in other parts of the world? I've loved those.
Here's a fluffy one--I like seeing pictures and posts on real life nurseries. Not ones that are filled with expensive stuff I could never afford or have every-single-item theme/coordinated, but real nurseries put together on a do-able budget.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Arden: If you bury a child up to their chin, the weight of the sand on their chest can make it really difficult for them to breath. Additionally, big holes or tunnels can collapse and burry kids alive.

More book recommendations for 2-3 year olds. Activities and maybe more potty training tips. I like gear/product reviews as well, maybe something more for toddler gear vs baby. Toy recommendations for non battery type toys.
honeydew / 7589 posts
@Happygal: I have and I really enjoyed those! I would really like to hear from parents writing about their own cultures though instead of ONLY American perspectives.

Those of us on the IF threads, were wondering if there could be an update on the bloggers with IF or had IF in the past. I know some of them have moved onto adoption, but it would be great to hear from them on how IF has changed them.

@bluestriped bee: what in particular would you like to hear?

@Happygal: once this room is done, I plan to share photos and our breakdown! We did another budget friendly nursery!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: you're going to submit to my swarm post, right? Right!

@cmomma17: Mrs. Blue did/is doing a series on going from WOHM to SAHM. It's great!

More slow cooker meals! The fewer ingredients the better.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: I don't know. I just like any and all IF blog posts. Maybe a "Swarm' type post, where IF graduates and current IF blogers, check-in. Does that make sense?

@lawbee11: Hey, my chili recipe could easily be adapted to a slow cooker

I'd also love more vegetarian recipes!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Sounds like you're up to bat lady @cmomma17: needs some Vegetarian recipes.

@bluestriped bee: I've written a few about my IF journey, IF after prefnancy, and our this pregnancy is going. Is there anything else I should write about? I kind of feel like I've covered it all!
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@cmomma17: I'm a vegetarian! Anything in particular you're looking for? I don't have photos but I'm happy to pass along anything to you!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@locavore_mama: Thanks for the shout out. What kind of books are you interested in? I feel like we pretty much have a mini-library, what with the board books and regular books cluttering up our shelves.

I'd love to see a post about being pregnant and having a baby after miscarriage. Trusting everything will be OK, bonding with baby, etc.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: any really! My LO isn't particular and her favorites rotate all the time. I usually randomly buy $1/$2 specials when daycare places a Scholastic order.

-More WOH posts/ work/life/family balance stuff. Has there been a swarm from working parents?
-More diversity in terms of families, perhaps guest posts? By diversity I mean by sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, and geographic (outside the US).
-Living in smaller spaces (but maybe Apartment Therapy has that market cornered?)
-talking to your kids about their genitalia and/or sex/new babies. How to do that age appropriately?
-books/activities etc. to prepare pre-schoolers for kindergarten
I'm sure I could come up with more, that's just off of the top of my head.
honeydew / 7811 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: just always interested in new ideas! Always disappointed when the food posts are things I can't eat! The simpler the better (ingredients wise and time wise), meals I can share with a toddler (who's actually not picky and loves most things!).
The real dream would be vegetarian meals the rest of the family would eat (meat loving DH and non-vegetarian step kids), but that's probably a dream I need to let go of!

Honestly, I wish they would bring back TTC bloggers or first-time pregnancy bloggers again! I understand the demographic is shifting more toward people who have toddlers or are having their second children, but there are, I think, still those of us out there just beginning our journeys who would like reading posts from that perspective, too.
