DD1's was a cheerful springy "theme" so I did sunshine yellow and lavender/lilac.
DD2's is a whale theme so I'm going with a aqua blue, coral and mint green scheme!

Lots of blues! I reuse party decoration every year and just swap out colors as needed. Blue tends to pop up every year.

Her first birthday was "apple of my eye" themed. We did apple red and apple green with other fall colors thrown in. We used a lot of burlap and twine and red check tablecloths.
This is the thread I started back when I was Gold:

I think for her second birthday, hopefully she will make some friends in our new city and we'll go to a Gymboree or My Gym or other place like that, and I won't do much of a color scheme. Probably primary colors which is what those places usually have and I might do some Wiggles themed stuff since she's all about The Wiggles.
