We just moved into a new house and are getting the cabinets painted next week. I think I know what I want, but am open to other ideas in case I'm missing something. First pic is our kitchen, last two are my inspiration. We will also be changing the knobs and switching the appliances to stainless. Bonus points for wall color suggestions! (They are currently mint green).

Is it Navy and white or Navy and soft grey? Either way I really like the Navy. But if it's light soft grey I reallllly like it!

@Littlebit7: I don't know! Either one! I was thinking navy and soft gray, but then one of the painters that came to give an estimate said the navy would make the gray read more blue and I'd go from having a red kitchen to a blue one

@Kitkat: ahh gotcha. I'd maybe try to find some more pins of a Navy/super light gray combo. I think it's unique. I feel like the majority of kitchens these days are white. Not that there anything wrong with it...but gray/Navy is interesting!! Maybe a white that just ha a whisper of gray?
ETA: it looks like you get a ton of natural light. That's a good thing for colors reading more true!

I was going to suggest the same scheme you have going with your inspiration. Looks awesome!
For some real life blues to try: SW Salty Dog, BM Symphony Blue (navy), BM Bedford Blue
Have you checked out cabinet knobs and pulls? Our kitchen was all knobs, but we just switched out the cabinet knobs for these pulls https://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod1283115&categoryId=cat1512023 . We left all the drawers as the round knobs for a little contrast.

We painted our cabinets a sort of grey-blue that's a little lighter than what you posted. I love it. The kitchen needs a lot of renovation, but the paint made it so I can stand it while we save money for the rest.

We just had our kitchen painted this color scheme and I love it! For the white cabinets we used Benjamin Moore Silver Satin. It reads as a gray ever so slightly, just enough.

What color is the floor? Is it beige?
I might do black or very deep charcoal before navy, depending on the color of the flooring.

For the wall color try BM Coastal Fog, it's a warmer gray with pale, pale green undertones. We have it in several rooms including a guest bathroom with tan tile and blue artwork.
ETA: BM Swiss Coffee is a creamy white/ Greige that might work for the upper cabinets.

We painted our sons bedroom furniture Valspar Indigo Mist and used the original brass knobs. I love love love it.

Ok, the more I look at it, the more it's a gray-blue. But I still love it.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @Kitkat: I'm sure you would, but be sure to test the colors. We painted our crib Symphony Blue and while I love it, it looks closer to cobalt than navy.

@rattles: oh wow, really?! We used Symphony as the accent darker blue for our bedroom. I don't know how many coats the painters used in the end, but when I did my blue pairing swatches I probably lathered on 5 or 6 coats. It's dark.

So they literally just finished painting...I love the white, but the blue is a lot brighter than I was anticipating it's more royal/cobalt than the grayish-navy I was going for. We're going to see if painting the walls helps or if it grows on us, but I think we're going to have to re-do the island

@Kitkat: I see what you mean about a brighter navy, but it still looks nice and hopefully won't be too bad to have to redo just that if you decide to. But wow, what a huge difference from the mauve before pictures!! Pretty counters too!

@Kitkat: The white looks really good! I agree the blue is very cobalt. Maybe if you brought in some cobalt accessories? Paint is so hard to pick.

@Kitkat: what color paint is that? I have several navy rooms/furniture pieces in my house. some colors that don't go purple/cobalt in my experience are BM Hale Navy (true navy) and SW Needlepoint Navy (this one leans greyish navy).

@Kitkat: It looks so much better now! I agree that it's pretty bright. It's so hard to pick out paint colors - they never turn out quite like you expect.
It's definitely an improvement either way but I'd probably try to find a more grey blue.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @jape14: it's Kelly Moore Evening Glory. Here's what it looks like on the paint chip. It does look closer to this on the other side of the island where it's not getting as much light.

@Kitkat: that swatch is really pretty. I bet if your painters add in some black that will darken it up a bit. The navy I used in my master looked cobalt in another poster's son's room. We get very little natural light and that for sure makes all the difference sometimes. What color did you settle on for the walls?
