I know there was a similar thread like this a few months ago, but it's fun to see what countries people have travelled to.

@mrsb2012: How was Cuba? I grew up a couple hundred miles away from there in Florida, but obviously was never able to go. When I was at Chapters in Montreal last month it was so surprising to see Cuba guidebooks in the travel section!

@Arden: can't give good travel advice, because I'm from there, but haven't been since childhood! I know foreigners have an easier time getting visas if they're part of a tour.

@MoonMoon: Ahh okay. I think group tours are the only way Americans can get visas which stinks because I hate tours ( ), and they are super expensive, but I still want to do it. Hopefully we get to go sometime.

Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Colombia, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Austria, Romania, Turkey, Switzerland, Australia, Spain - so many more places I want to go!

@Arden: I hate tours too! I hope sometime soon Iran develops more of a travel/tourism infrastructure (and better relationship with the US...)

@Katrocap: loved it! The people were so friendly, they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The beaches were beautiful and clean. Lots of culture and history as well. There is no bartering, everything is priced and that's what you pay which I love. I'd go back in a heartbeat for a beach vacation.

@MoonMoon: I'm going to be getting dual citizenship with Kosovo soon so it's possible I could travel under that passport, but I don't know if that would just get me in trouble or not... Don't want anyone to think I'm trying to sneak in. Same thing with Cuba - not sure if using the other passport would make it better or worse!
pomegranate / 3392 posts
@Arden: I think if you have dual citizenship, it's perfectly valid, as long as you're not hiding anything Like Cuba- they love/appreciate having American visitors, takes a lot of effort to go!
