I wanted to be either a writer or a figure skating. I find the latter hilarious, because I didn't step foot on ice until I was an adult

An astronaut, til I saw the Challenger blow up. Then for a long time I wanted to be a "serious" journalist, like Jane Pauley or Murphy Brown

When I was 10, I very clearly remember saying I wanted to be an orthodontist after my dad told me that we were charged $200 for the 15 min consult that we had with mine.
In highschool, I thought about becoming a journalist so that I could travel and report on interesting things around the world.

A teacher. I wanted to grade papers. It looked like fun marking things off and making notes. My other one was marine biologist - I thought it would be so cool to swim with manatees and dolphins.

Depending on my age... a naturalist, a journalist, a midwife, and a archeologist. Then in high school I wanted to be a dentist.
I am none of the above, but I might become a midwife someday.

I also said figure skater! Although it made more sense since I actually took figure skating lessons. I had a grand plan where I would coach figure skating during the school year and drive an ice cream truck in the summer.
My mom wasn't all about this plan and told me I could be anything I wanted - even president! I asked her what the president did, and when she told me, I informed her in a very serious voice, "That sounds like a lot of responsibility. I don't think I would like that." I was about 5 years old at the time.
