When DS was a baby, he started off in the rnp, then a borrowed bassinet, and then the pack n play before he was moved to his crib at 6 months. I'm pregnant with our second and last and have been rethinking using the rnp and just use it for naps. I'm looking at the chicco travel bassinet and arms reach cosleeper. Any suggestions?

We borrowed the Arms Reach Mini for 6-8 weeks then DD went to the crib in her room. I loved it. For #2, I can't decide if I'm going to set up the PNP bassinet or buy an Arms Reach second hand. Actually, while I'm typing this...I very well may buy an Arms Reach new or secondhand since #2 will sleep in our room (or get relocated to the living room!) much longer, since the ultimate plan is to roomshare with DD.

LO is 5 months and she has slept overnight in some combo of pack n play, swing, and our bed. Naps have been everywhere.

My kids slept in the pack n play bassinet next to my bed until they were ready for the crib. Easy access to pick up for nursing. And truthfully my son slept half of each night with me in the bed once he was done with being alone in the bassinet

Rock n play until 3-4 months. Then pnp in our room until switching to crib around 5 months for ds and a bit sooner for dd.

A bassinet or PNP until 8/6 weeks and then the crib. RNP makes me nervous for overnights.

We had a full sized Arm’s Reach cosleeper for DS1. A mini Arm’s Reach for DS2. And now a Halo Bassinest for DS3. The bassinest is my fav so far!

Our room is currently like a babies r us. I have a mini crib in the closet, an arms reach, a rock n play and a fisher price swing. He currently is 7 weeks and is sleeping in the swing at night swaddled in the swaddle up. I’m doing all the things “they” tell you not to do. Oh and I nap him on his stomach on the bed while I work on my laptop.
Basically...don’t take any of my advice. -
We just go straight to the crib. Worked well with our first and now DS2 is 8 days old and he sleeps well in the crib from first day home. Naps and night.

Both our kids spent their first six weeks sleeping on our chests in a recliner, and then we transitioned them into bassinets (the one that came with the Uppababy for B, and we bought a Bassinest for W).

@SweetCaroline: That's where I am leaning. I think I am going to get the arms reach 3 in 1 in the regular size (not mini.)
The cocoa color is 175 at both Target and Amazon.

Due with my 3rd any day now...but we’re thinking of using the pnp with bassinet in our masters room for couple of months. My Lo2 is still in crib and eventually he’ll climb out (just tuned two) and when he does, we will make he switch. My brother is letting us borrow the rnp so maybe that too? I also bought a dockatot. I know not night, but I’m hoping maybe naps?

I bought an arms reach mini for our second and LOVED it. I’d definitely go that route if I were you.
