Socks. Sometimes socks under footed pants/PJs. Sometimes booties or moccasins over socks.

I second the zutano booties! DD either wore those or just socks. I never bought shoes for her until she could walk.

My son's due date was Feb 23, so I got him these little Robeez moccasins to keep his feet warm:

Socks. When it was super cold, we used socked under a fleece sleeper.

Another vote for zutano booties. They aren't the absolute cutest but they stay on, unlike socks which I was always pulling back on C's chubby little feet. C wore those or a fleece snow suit that had feet attached when we went out.

I loooove the Padraig Cottage booties. So warm!
Or cozy socks and a blanket.

@ElbieKay: We had the same ones! We also had the Robeez Classic boots. My son's feet were always super warm.
@Mrs. Oatmeal: Padraig booties are soooo gorgeous! I wish I had discovered them when my LO was really little.

@Sammyfab: they're pricy, but we were given a pair when K was born. I want some in my size!

Someone gifted E little white furry boots. I thought they were so impractical but I'll be damned if she didn't wear them all the time!!

I didn't put anyhing on dd. Just socks. She was always bundled up in her car seat and lots of blankets when we went outside. The very rare occasion that we went out without the car seat I would put her one piece snowsuit on that had built in feet.

Socks. If it was really cold I would put a footed sleeper and then socks.

I bought furry moccasin boot type things for cheap, any type of bootie, fleece with feet or thick socks would be fine dependent on weather. He had some stonz boots we used too.

Lo wear these from Collegien. He loves them and they never fall off and come in super adorable prints.

Socks or her snowsuit (with feet) or a blanket. I tried socks and shoes once and we lost a shoe in the mall, so she lost her shoe privileges.

Robeez boots, Padraig booties or an Old Navy bear suit!
We're having another November baby, so I'm already stocked up on winter goodies. We had a pair of North Face baby boots for our first, but they weren't as easy to put on her tiny feet. I may have to check out the Zutano booties, but I'm not sure where to find them in Canada.

Socks or booties. We had a cute pair of booties from Gymboree that lasted all winter.

Socks, or footed sleepers. Just the sleeper itself, I never layered other socks with them. Not sure where you live, but that was plenty for our winter newborn in PA, even with the house kept fairly cool (55-60).
