I have tons of guides and checklists in drafts, but they take awhile to write and put together. But I'd love to hear what type of guides, checklists and printables you'd like to see so we can prioritize. They can be on anything from gear to nanny contracts to diy projects. Ask and you very may well receive!

I agree with @Junebugmama, that would be a great idea, but a pretty daunting task!
Hmm..cloth diapering checklist/guide? Different types, how they compare and contrast, and basics to buy if you're going to pursue it (diaper sprayer, wet/dry pails, etc)? That could be a "guest" one, too!

Car seat guide? And other gear guides. Your carriers, solids, and travel crib guides were great!
And maybe you could get someone to write a birth center checklist to go with your hospital checklist. They have some big differences so it would be helpful.

another idea, inspired by baby bargains! popular baby items that are totally unnecessary/don't live up to the hype?
i.e., something you see and automatically want or register for, but in reality, will never use it. (I've heard wipe warmer, and I saw something at wal-mart that you stick a jar of baby food in. What's wrong with your hand?)

Checklist for gift giving. This isn't something for yourself but for giving a gift to a friend or a family member that just gave birth. Maybe do one for visiting a friend in the hospital and one for visiting them at home.

A car seat guide is a great idea, it would be even better if you could find a certified car seat technician to write it, because there is so much to getting a proper fit in your vehicle!
Another guide I would have found useful is for travel tips!

I believe there is a printable for what to pack for the hospital? If not, definitely that. I think a birth plan checklist of some sort would be good... even if it was a list of questions to talk over with your doctor/midwife/partner/doula.

One thing that my doula gave me that I found really helpful was a sample birth plan. In addition to listing our preferences, what I found striking about the sample we got from our doula was how NICE it was. Instead of "we want this, we don't want this" it was all phrased as "We are hoping to have an [adjective] birth, and would really appreciate your help and support in doing so. If you could do [X], and refrain from doing [Y], that would be great."

Maybe a guideline for a birth plan? I know the bump has one, but apparently it's outdated? I wouldn't really know everything to include as a first time mama.

Sewing tutorials for baby gear like nursing covers, car seat covers, baby blankets, bibs, burp cloths, pacifier clips, etc. Maybe even go more in-depth and do a guide for sewing your own crib bedding (There are a lot out there, but they are all scattered around. It would be nice to have them all in one place.)

I have a birth plan to submit if you need one. I got it from a very old CA Kaiser online plan and tweaked it. When I showed the midwife at our hospital in a 6 month visit, she said it was very 'gentle' (like not bossy).

@Mrs. Bee: Wow! How did he get it? We were both shocked we hadn't heard about it before during our education and careers. Now we know, though.

@Boogs: he fell on his arm at the playground. he couldn't move his arm and our pediatrician told us to take him to the er to get an xray. it popped back into place by itself in a couple of hours while we were at the er.
it's happened a couple more times since then, though never as severe. so we're very careful not to swing him by his arms. some kids are just more prone to it. our pediatrician showed us how to pop it back in place -- bend his elbow like he's throwing something over his shoulder.

By the way, I just decided to do a Very Hungry Caterpillar theme for our 1st birthday party coming up. Spent about an hour browsing and having fun creating our invites. It seems very overdone, according to the internet popularity but that's ok, it's always been our daughter's favorite book and I've never been to one personally. We may do the carnival theme another year though since our yard would be ideal for it. Maybe when she's a little older. Looking forward to the guides though.
