Ya'll got me looking up New Zealand! Although I've always said I wanted to visit Middle Earth, it hasn't actually been on my radar. 2 transfers and 30+ hrs of travel time one-way and a small fortune for the cost of airfare alone ... now I remember why
The older I get, the more I realize that I don't actually like flying. My dream vacation right now would be somewhere tropical, during winter, but not too hot. I've been looking into Bali and other parts of SE Asia. From here, there are non-stop charters to Thailand: 16hrs one-way and a ton cheaper than New Zealand.
Give me a nice pristine beach with cheap massages, delicious seafood, and safe so my DD can run around free without me being on guard and I'd be happy

I actually don't feel like traveling much lately, but would love to see British Columbia.
