What kind of tree will you have as your main tree this year? Where did you/will you get it?
Usually we get a fresh tree (yay PNW) but this year we will be traveling and I don't want to wait to put a tree up. I have a pink artificial tree already that I usually put in my office like this http://makingitlovely.com/2009/12/04/the-pink-christmas-tree-is-here/
I think we might go for the pink tree and keep it kitschy this year. Not like T will remember. I'm curious what everyone else does.

This will be our first year being home for actual Christmas- we always travel to his family or mine for the holiday, but my due date is a week before, so we will actually wake up in our home on Christmas. So we will get a real tree, from a lot. It will be our 2 year olds first Christmas tree!

We cut ours at a tree farm. It's a big fun day. I'm really excited to finally bring DS. We already bought him a sled in case there's snow like last year.

We actually have room for a real tree this year! So excited! We will also have a felt tree up for DD1 to play with decorate.

We have an artificial tree, but I kind of want a real one this year. We won't even be home on Christmas though, so wondering if it's even worth putting one up

We have a fake tree but last year a friend of mine has a relative go down south to cut a tree. He charged us $25. Which is a great deal! I hope we can do it this year.

We have a fake tree bc we travel for about a week at Christmas. Once we stop doing that we will probably get a real one!

We have an antique aluminum tree with vintage ornaments all passed down from DH's cousin. I'm kind of in the mood for a real tree this year, though (I love the smell), so we'll see.

Classic artificial. I love real trees, but I got tired of paying so much for them/cleaning up after them/trying to keep my cat/kid from eating the needles.

We aren't allowed to have a live cut tree for fire safety reasons in my building, so this year we are getting a live tree in a pot from a local farm!!!!! Super excited, hopefully it can live on.

About 4 years ago we started cutting down our own Xmas tree, it's so fun!! We always buy a too-big Griswold-style tree

We always get a real tree, but the last two years it's been from the precut ones at Home Depot. I think this year we might go to the Tree farm because LO will be old enough to know.

We do an artificial tree because DH wanted to have a really big tree (12 ft!) and I don't want to pay $100+ each year for a real tree. I always buy real garland and a wreath though because I love the smell.

We have a super cheap, 6 foot artificial tree we will probably use. I bought it my first year out of college when I was living by myself. It wasn't something I wanted to spend money on, but I had to! For that reason the scraggly thing holds a special place in my heart

artificial. I have no patience for a real tree and all the maintenance issues.
Also, if its proving to be too much of a hassle with the baby keeping out of it, then its a quick breakdown and back in the box it goes!

Always a real tree, DH would not have it any other way. We usually just buy it at a lot. This year we'll probably buy one from the YMCA near our house, I just found out that they have a tree sale and the proceeds go to scholarships and memberships to those in need.

I'm not entirely sure what to do this year... last year we had a real tree which was about 7 or 8 foot, and I so got over the smell/needles/general mess. We would normally put it up on Dec 1st, but I will either be overdue/in hospital/home with a newborn, so maybe artificial might be the way to go this year.

Pre-lit artificial tree. Hopefully I can fix the leg on the stupid thing. Christmas tree set up should be a nice process this year. Last year I had an artificial that had each limb color coded and you had to put each one on. It was tedious and messy. I hate that tree.

We usually get a real tree. DH said last year he thought ee should get an artificial tree for this year but I am hoping he changed his mind. I love real trees!!

I am doing something that most people will find totally weird, but whatevs...we're travelling this year so I will get a bunch of boxes and some christmas wrapping paper...wrap the boxes, stack 'em up and top with a big Santa hat.

I demand real.. dh pushes for artificial. So far I have won this battle. We usually buy ours from home depot but now that DD is 2 I might push the whole "go to a tree farm and cut one down". But I'm undecided on that.

We will do either a tiny real tree or tiny fake tree (probably real). Sadly, we don't have room for a big one in our little house (especially now that LO has big toys like a play kitchen in our living room).

We have a fake one inside.
This year we plan to go to a tree farm for the experience, but buy a very small and charlie-brownish Christmas tree, set it up and decorate it outside.
