I am the laziest cook ever, so for me, that would probably be my vitamix and instapot. Plus a tea kettle, and some barkeeper's friend for when my natural cleaner doesn't cut it. I got my mom a food processor that will chop or mix about anything for Christmas, and I have to say that it was wonderful (i.e. easy and fast) cooking with it and I'm missing it now that I'm home.

I have hardly any kitchen gadgets. So... a cutting board and a knife?
A pot and pan? I have a blender I use for milk making, fine chopping, etc. The rest I figure... burns calories?

@Greentea: Hah, yeah, I'd be in trouble w/o a knife and a pan;-) But I'm sure I don't use them to their full potential (or burn many calories cooking!)

My rice cooker. I use it to make rice often, but it also makes the best oatmeal in the world. I don't eat anything else.

I am a big fan of my stick blender and it's attachments. My husband loves our electric kettle and his aeropress for his coffee.

Coffee machine! And I love our cast iron griddle too. Those are the 2 things we use the most - aside from cutlery and plates and bowls.

Things I use almost every single day and couldn't live without: keurig for coffee, cast iron skillet, garlic press, can opener, toaster oven, cheese grater and bamboo cutting boards.

My shun knives and Le Cruset cast iron skillet. Use them daily.

Other than the obvious necessities, I really like my Instant Pot, Aroma Rice Cooker, Pampered Chef Batter Bowl, and Cuisinart Griddler. I could live without them, but I would prefer not to.

for little gadgets: $40 immersion blender, I love it. also, mesh sieves in a few different sizes--I use them all. the. time. and this one is a little ridiculous, but I have an All Clad butter warmer that I use several times a day for heating water for bottles, tea (so much faster than the kettle), frying a little garlic, toasting seeds while cooking, or actually melting butter. It looks just like an All Clad sauce pan but it's teensy, I think the capacity is like 10 oz.

I seem to have a decent number of kitchen gadgets. Things I must have: Dutch oven, Cuisinart food processor, garlic roller, electric tea kettle, a nice big wooden spatula.
Things I need: I still don't know how to use a proper kitchen knife and only feel comfortable with paring knives (which I use for everything). Someday I need to buy and learn how to use a real knife.

A scoop colander, bamboo spoons/spatulas, sheet pan, frying pan with covered handle. Also, my Cuisinart Griddler (it has a flat plate, a grooved plate and a waffle plate). I use it a ton when we have guests, because it elevates a simple sandwich into panini.
I have a ton of appliances, but use none of them on a regular basis.

I love reading this! Growing up we had a super basic kitchen, and I've slowly learned that there are things that can make cooking much easier, at least for someone of my skill level (like others, I would really love to learn better knife skills, etc). Certain things also make it easier to eat healthy - I've had the vitamix blender for nearly a decade and am sure I would have eaten way less healthy without it, and since getting the InstantPot I've steamed more veggies because it's even easier than the stove. I wish I could use a giant tester kitchen for like a month and try out everything

Microplane zester! I don't use it daily, but probably once a week for cheese, lemons, and nutmeg. The cheese grater version (with larger "teeth"
We use our Hario coffee mill daily. It's a hand mill, so not really a time saver (although I guess we save time exercising!), but it's SO much nicer and quieter than the motorized ceramic burr grinder we once had. No one needs to start the day with a harsh motorized whir.

I feel like I use almost everything during the week when I'm cooking. Definitely my cast iron pan, slow cooker, rice cooker, Food Saver, and Ninja blender.
I'm 31 and I just learned how to use a dishwasher 8 months ago when we got our house. I grew up washing dishes and always did it in my adult years. Then DH told me I should start using it. IT IS HEAVEN! Where have I been?!

@looch: You just made my 2017. I have a cuisinart griddler but didn't know they made waffle plates for it! I live in an apt with limited storage and I've been thinking "when we have a big kitchen in a house I want a waffle iron". But I can have one now! My son loves waffles and I would love to make my own variations! So far he's only had frozen.
Love the griddler for grilled cheese and even just seasoning chicken breast and grilling it. So easy and healthy and my husband loves it. -
@madisonbee: @periwinklebee: DH never had a dishwasher before we bought our house and didn't understand why I wanted one so much! The dishwasher is definitely my "must have" and "never take for granted" item. I love to cook and bake but don't enjoy clean up!

I don't enjoy cooking much so I like things that make cooking and clean up easier.
Cuisinart griddler because it's easy and the plates go in the dishwasher.
Induction cook top because it boils water in literally 90 seconds. And it requires stainless steel cookware which I can throw in the dishwasher.
Cuisinart smartstick - the blender and the chopper attachments are major. I hate chopping.
I do like my crockpot but don't use it enough to say I can't live without it.
Microwave - 80% of my "cooking" is in the microwave. -
Coffee pot, le creuset, our gas grill (does that count?), our awesome Panasonic toaster oven. It's the bomb

@Littlebit7: One of the things that I miss most about where we live now is that we don't have a yard, and hence no option for a gas grill. Those are awesome!
