LO2 is due in a couple months and we're finally starting to get his nursery and stuff ready.

LO1 slept in a Rock n Play beside our bed and napped in a swing. We had a miserable time transitioning her to her crib, so we are hoping to get LO2 used to sleeping on a flat surface earlier. Both our RnP and swing were ruined in a flood anyway, so all we have is the Pack and Play and I'm trying to figure out if we need to get anything else.

DH thinks LO2 can just sleep in the PnP (with a better mattress) in our room. I worry that it will be too big for a newborn and awkward for me to reach him in the MOTN. Our PnP doesn't have a newborn bassinet thingey. LO1 hated the PnP as a newborn, but we had other stuff for her to sleep in and didn't try too hard.

I am eyeing either a Halo bassinet or an Arm's Reach co-sleeper, but DH thinks it's unnecessary. Then again, he's not the one who will be BFing in the middle of the night.

What would you guys recommend? Worth it to get a bassinet or co-sleeper? Or wait and see how he does in the PnP?

I feel like I should know this stuff by now!
