at home I would say after 3pm
If we were going to the park though (zero shade) I would put it on the face only

We're taking swimming lessons this summer at 9 a.m. I will put sunscreen on my LO but probably not myself. I don't bother putting it on myself after 3 or 4 but probably would put it on my kids until 5 or so....
During the school year I put sunscreen on my preschooler every day, but in the summer we're mostly indoors or in the shade so I play it by ear.

If it's in the backyard after 4 PM or so, I don't bother. It's pretty shaded back there. In full sun at this time of year, I would still put it on all the way until dinner time.

I very rarely put sunscreen on myself. Really only if i'm going to be laying out at the beach or park or at some sort of outdoor festival all day. Clearly i'll have to be more careful with my future little one.

If we are going to the park after about 5:30, I don't put it on.

@Mamaof2: yeah, you're probably right! I just get so tired after applying to two squirmy little people that I neglect myself

I put it on her anytime there is sun unless she's just walking from point A to B and in it just a minute or two.

I don't reapply at evening hours, since we usually keep him in shade anyway

@mamimami: I agree! After I manage to get sunscreen on both of the LOs that I nanny, and they are raring to go, I usually give up and don't apply any on myself. Not good!
I apply sunscreen when [nanny] LO #1 gets off the bus at 4, and that's generally the last time I apply it unless we go out later and I know we'll be in direct sun.

Depends if we'll be in direct sun or not. If yes, then I'll put it on pretty much no matter what time it is--we were out at 8:30am yesterday and in the sun it was HOT. We were also out at 5pm over the wknd and it was still really hot in the sun! So as long we're in direct sun, I will put it on LO.
If we're in the shade, I'll put it on around 930/10, and then re apply after his nap, around 2.
I am really bad about putting it on for myself though!
