What part of town will you be in?

We were only there for a day and spent the afternoon at the Sculpture Garden. The kids had a great time!

The sculpture garden is fun, but there isn't a ton to "do" there (just FYI). So if you're fine looking at the sculptures and your 2yo is fine just running along on paths or open grassy areas, you should be good. Not saying it's a bad idea, just setting expectations appropriately!
We love North Loop Playground, and you can see the river, or walk over Stone Arch Bridge from there, too. Or you can walk to Spoon & Stable and get some pastries

There are a few fun indoor playgrounds (if you are interested I can recommend one you are close to because they are all over the place, yeah cold weather!) Como Zoo is fun for toddlers because you can get closer to the animals than most zoos, The Children's Museum in St. Paul is amazing, Mall of America has lots of fun free things to look at and see (fountains, art installations, unique stores, characters and rides in Nickelodeon Universe along with a huge aquarium, The Crayola Experience and a theme park with some rides that your kiddo could ride with you. MOA also has Toddler Tuesday every week where they have special events planned for that age group like music guests, dancing, art projects.
