What was your LO like during the first 12 weeks? Dearly though I love them both, I think my boys were/are pretty difficult newborns. Both had MSPI. LO1 (now 24 months) spent the first 4 months of his life screaming for hours every day until we finally figured it out. He did start sleeping in long stretches (8 hours) pretty early on (9 weeks) so that was a relief. LO2 - 12 weeks on Saturday - isn't a very good sleeper, but he hasn't been AS colicky as big brother was. But he's still pretty fussy, and I feel like he's getting fussier, not happier! Aren't we close to the end of the fussy stage?! We recently switched him from BM to hypoallergenic formula after confirming his MSPI, as well as starting him on Zantac 2 days ago for reflux, so I think he's just working some stuff out of his system. But man, I am so jealous of my friends whose newborns never seem to hysterically scream. I definitely wish away the newborn days, because LO1 was just a pure ray of sunshine after he emerged from them. LO2 seems like an even happier/cuddlier baby (between crying fits) so I'm anxious for them to end.

What was your LO's experience with the "fourth trimester?" I've been lucky to have had two easy pregnancies, deliveries, and recoveries, so if/when we have LO3, I have WAY more anxiety about that newborn's behavior than my own physical health.
