I'm currently trying to decide between make ahead frittata and French toast (separate dishes!) or bagels with cream cheese and yogurt.....

I usually do a breakfast casserole. But we are going to my parents on the 23rd and won't be home till late on the 24th. I don't trust eggs to sit that long, so we might just do pancakes and bacon since LO loves pancakes.

We always do chocolate chip pancakes and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

I think I'm going to start a new tradition of homemade cinnamon rolls. I'll probably make bacon and serve fresh fruit too.

-festive salad
-orange Julius knock offs
-coffee cake

Last year we made a french toast casserole that was prepped the night before and served it with mimosas (sparkling cider for the littles). I love the idea of homemade cinnamon rolls!

I used to do cinnamon rolls from scratch but it's a lot more of work. A couple years ago I started making the pioneer woman's baked French toast and it's soooo good and easy so I do that now. Usually make bacon, an assortment of fruit, and a baked egg dish. Last year I did a quiche like dish with a sweet potato crust and it was delicious.

@Charm54: mmm, I might host brunch just to have a reason to make orange julius knockoffs.

We get home late from the ILs the night before. I'm thinking maybe pancakes in fun shapes. I would love to do homemade sweet rolls of some kind but I may do that on another morning when I have more time. The overnight French toast idea sounds good too!

I have yet to not wake up on Christmas at my parents house. So I'll talk about what she makes.
-Cinnamon rolls always (just the pillsbury ones)
-Some years also a breakfast casserole prepped at night and baked the next morning (bread, egg, cheese, sausage and butter)
-some years baked French toast
I like the breakfast casserole best.

I'm guessing MIL will make a quiche and some fruit, and I told her I'm planning on making cinnamon rolls. I'll prep them the night before so they can rise in the fridge and go straight in the oven in the morning.

@LBee: no she's from Georgia haha! I have not had one before!!! But I kept hearing about them. Now that we have a DS we are ordering one!

Inmake homemade cinnamon rolls (the pioneer woman recipe is my absolute favorite) every year! They take like 5-6 hours, but it's the only time of the year I make them and I eat like five of them
Then DH usually makes something like eggs to go with it, and we'll probably have fruit or something.

@LBee: @wrkbrk: Trader Joe's carries them too, if you live near one. I'm sad DD is allergic to nuts because I love almond Kringle.

A local donut shop is open on Christmas morning, so we usually walk there to get some donuts!
