Especially if you have more than one kiddo....
I am struggling with gifts for Ds because we already have a ton of infant stuff from my daughter. So far I have shoes on his list! lol poor him!

We are in the same boat. She's getting some clothes, Sophie the giraffe, a couple Pixar movies, and I think her Santa gift will be renewing our Children's Museum membership. So lame, but she doesn't need anything at all!

Same situation here! I think we will get him some more pacifiers/a new wubbanub, some 'boy' teething toys (the ones we have are over the top girly, so I want to get him something that's his). Relatives are getting him a few toys, clothes in bigger sizes, and a Halo sleep sack.

C will be 11 months old - she is getting my Pal Violet, a Stella doll, leapfrog fridge phonics, some Usborne books (mainly the "that's not my.." ones and the slide and see ones), and I think her 'big' gift will be the Melissa and Doug giddy up ride on horse.

@Anya: This is everything! Thanks for the laughter this brought me on a Monday morning after a VERY tough Sunday night

@Anya: lol. too cute! For us definitely the computer cord, phone, glasses, cat hair (instead of dog). LO also would love his own toilet bowl so he can play in the water. nightlights, and Tupperware... it constantly goes from the cabinet to his toy box.
Here is our actual christmas/birthday list: https://www.pinterest.com/kristyfischer/ethan-birthdaychristmas-ideas/

@Meowkers: we have all three this month too! I've bought a ton of stuff, but haven't decided which she'll get when. Although her birthday is during hanukkah, so they're literally on top of each other.
Some of her gifts are...
Cabbage patch baby
Puzzles
Bath toys
Sleep sack

Struggling with our 14m old. We have so much from older brother we don't necessarily 'need' anything.

We're getting our will be 6 month old dd:
stuff for solids
baby Stella
stacking toy
Leapfrog picnic basket
books
Ds is only 18 months older so we have a lot of stuff but nothing 'girly'.

@yellowbird: You're welcome! A friend of mine is using it for her girls too. A lot of items came from HB suggestions as well.

T is 6 months old, so here is what I put on his Amazon wish list.

Oh and this.
Some of these things we already have (E has some similar round stackers) but since she still uses them and they are *hers* (and she would KNOW if we took them, not like some of the baby stuff she played with 2 years ago and then I put away...), T is getting his own.

@blackbird: we LOVE the one. Two Squeeze blocks, the Mozart cube and the v-tech walker from your list. My 2.5 year old plays with all of them on the regular which has amazed me. Now he just plays with them differently (the blocks get dumped out of dump trucks, the walker is a pretend vacuum cleaner and/or racer, and the Mozart cube is a dance companion.

His is small this year because we're taking him to Disneyland for Christmas. Probably just a set of baby keys, one of those push cars that help you walk and then you can ride later, and whatever other fun toys I see along the way. I am guessing I will only spend like $100 on him this year. His bday is 2.5 months after Christmas and I like to go bigger for birthdays.

@PawPrints: we still play with those squeaky eggs at 3.5.

Last but not least. I guess I've been tracking a lot of stuff for her! I hadn't realized how long this list had gotten.

Cute clothes that I can't justify because she doesn't *need* them. Books I particularly want. Toys I particularly want, mostly wooden ones. The toys are more to give people an idea what we want, to hopefully emphasize that we're serious about not wanting plastic light up crap, and so people see what alternatives are out there.

This is our first LO so it's pretty much just sleep sacks, drool bibs, and stuff for solids. I'm really hoping someone buys us the EZPZ mini mat that's coming out this month.

@blackbird: My LO LOVES (and has for awhile) the Old Mcdonald Poke-A-Dot book, even though he hasn't figured out how to poke them yet.

Honestly? We're buying a new house that needs a ton of work, so I'll probably take out some of DS1's toys that he doesn't remember and we haven't given to DS2 yet, and wrap them and present them as new. It's not like we can't afford some small gifts (and we'll certainly get him a couple new things), but we just don't need a bunch of extra crap around.

Um, is it really bad that we didn't get anything for our son for christmas last year? he was 10 months. We kinda let the holiday pass a bit, didn't really get anything for each other or our son. This year might be a bit bigger but we'll probably just get him books.

Ha-ha, DS was our first and he only got Christmas pjs last year at 10 months. I knew our in-laws would go crazy so I made them a list mostly with solids stuff and wooden toys. Now, waiting on no 2, I think we'll probably ask for books a lot. I hate having tons of toy clutter but I also don't like reading the same books over and over.
@scarletbegonia: same! And this year he's only getting pjs and a big tonka truck. It is the first toy I've bought for him (and like most kids he has plenty).

our 10 month old is getting 2 little wooden toys. we decided to do shared gifts from Santa, so those are mostly for the 2 year old but will still be in good shape when she is old enough to enjoy them more too.baby toys are so short lived we don't want to waste the money.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@AggieDaze: I think he's going to like these, too, and some of them, E will play with him (or steal them temporarily)! You just can't go wrong with blocks. They have SO much longevity.
@josina: E has a monkey one and LOVES it, too! It's gotten so much use, though, most of the bubbles have broken.
I like having such a big wish list because it's easy for family and friends (who request one!) to pick what they want and what fits their budget. I don't like to be very pointed with gifts. Plus, their birthdays are a few months later!
