For #1 I didn't test until after I was late, so it was like 16 DPO,

For #2 I tested at 8 DPO since I felt off, it was my first test of the cycle. It turned out to be positive, but it was very light and I questioned it until I did a digital almost a week later.

My 8 DPO test looked like this:

I first tested at 8 DPO.. and it was stark white. Got my shadow of a line at 10DPO.

I tested at 9 DPO, BFN. Tested at 10 DPO and got a faint BFP on both Wondfo and FRER (actually the Wondfo was more sensitive and showed a slightly clearer line than that first FRER). Lines got darker every day until they were darker than the test line by the time AF would have been due.

I just had my dating u/s and it's a singleton.

I've had early ones both times! My first preg (m/c) I got positive on FRER at 9 DPO. My current pregnant, I thought I got a squinter barely here BFP on FRER on 11 DPO, but based on my due date, 8 DPO is the latest I could have been (didn't confirm O with OPKs that cycle).

8dpo! These were my wondfos from 8-13dpo

8 dpo. It was my first test. I got a faint line on a wondfo, then ran to walmart for an FRER and digital to confirm. I actually still have these tests...I just can't throw them away! DH thinks I am a wacko

12dpo, but I didn't let myself test before then... Judging by the line, I probably wouldn't have tested positive before 10, maaaybe 9dpo

@septca: test EARLY and often

@sandy: I've used both FMU and afternoon with a hold. Early on I found the afternoon showed good lines.

@T.H.O.U.: how long did you hold? Sorry if that's tmi

@sandy: 3/4 hours without drinking or going.

@sandy: Nope! Held it for 4 hours then tested (around 6pm).

My first pregnancy, I tested at 12dpo and got a negative. 13dpo was positive. I ended up having a miscarriage at 7 weeks.

My second pregnancy, I started testing at 7 DPO and thought maybe I saw a hint of something. I remember that I actually had better luck in the afternoon.

ETA: I was charting and pretty confident about ovulation dates.

I was 12 dpo (actually 9dp3dt but essentially 12 dpo) and had a very obvious positive in the evening. I think I probably could have gotten a + hpt several days earlier. I'm pregnant t with twins though so I had a lot of hcg!

I got a bfp with my lo at 17dpo and that was with a FRER. My cycles are really long though...like 36-38 days (longest was 42). Needless to say, longest tww of my liiiiife
