Spinning off of simplyfelicity...What do you get your SO for a "just because" gift? My DH is great at bringing me flowers, dessert, or just a sweet tea from my favorite place. Just small, thoughtful gifts. But I've often wondered what the equivalent for a guy is? Just trying to think of some guy things that are quick and inexpensive that you could pick up on the way home from work or grocery shopping.

Whiskey or craft beers. My man is pretty simple

For me, his favorite candy, drink, or something small off his Amazon wishlist.

@Bea: my DH doesn't drink either but he loves sweets. Sometimes I'll bring home a cupcake or frosted cookie.

DH would love a 6-pack of his favorite beer, a slice of cake or candy/cookies that I don't usually buy like gummy bears or oreos.

For DH, it's pastries or cookies. Or just a note hidden somewhere he'll find it later.

A really nice bottle of gin, a decadent chocolate desert, and sometimes an expensive cut of meat for him to grill is a nice surprise.

Reese's, a chocolate cupcake with white frosting, or chocolate frozen custard. Or if I make something for him to "find" in the fridge. Similarly if I bring home a choice ribeye and some baked potatoes

Craft beer! Specifically beer that is hard to find/can't get in our state.

I usually make him a dinner he really likes or get him a snack or sweet that we don't buy regularly like Skittles or beef jerky.

Sometimes I make a cake and write "I love you" when it's just because and "I'm sorry" if we've had a fight. I also will buy his favorite candy or being home takeout from one of his favorite places.

A croissant for him to have the next morning. A nice French or Spanish dry cider.

My husband knows I love him when I bring home the seasonal Reese's cups (trees, hearts, eggs, pumpkins).

Justin's dark chocolate peanut butter cups, black licorice, craft brew. There's a beer that is extremely hard to get, and he was floored when I found some and brought it home for him!

Meat.
I can find a groupon type deal to our local butcher about 90% of the time, so that's usually what I get if I want to get him something simple that he'll be excited about.

A Wawa French Vanilla Cappuccino, a six-pack of a new beer I think he'd like, or cupcakes. He has a sweet tooth!

He doesn't like sweets so no baked goods for him. He does like chocolate covered cherries. Also, he would love to have Yeungling lager (not sold out here). He loves reading books, comic books and seeing movies, so those are some things I could get him.
