Vacation. We're going on vacation next week for 10 days with two kids. I've been preparing packing lists, items to ship lists, washing clothes, planning itineraries. I can not wait to get out of here and get some sunny beach and pool weather.

@skipra: have you tried their cream cheese spreads? Genuinely delicious.

@JerricaBenton: Also obsessed with My Favorite Murder and other true crime podcasts: True Crime Garage, and Thinking Sideways.
I forgot to add the podcast: Missing Richard Simmons!!! SO good!
pineapple / 12566 posts
@JessyMess: have you tried Casefile True Crime or Up and Vanished? Casefile is one mystery per episode and Up and Vanished is a Serial-type podcast that just had a pretty astounding real-life update. I also like Missing Richard Simmons!
I'm currently obsessed with swimming and researching new skincare products to change up my regime.

@JessyMess: I'll have to check those out! I have very little time when I'm alone in the car so it takes me forever to get through 'adult' podcasts haha.

@JerricaBenton: @lamariniere: @JessyMess: Have any of you listened to Crimetown? It's pretty good and episodes are only 45 minutes or so!

I've been binge watching the Good Wife this maternity leave, so good!
Also the dresses from dwellandslumber.com--I have 5 every time the restock I can't help myself lol

@irunforfun: cashew based ice cream. I loved it when LO was reacting to dairy and I cut it out of my diet.

@skipra: yes! It's Gevalia I think.
Researching gardening. And fun new recipes while watching the great British baking show.

@sauerkraut: I've been meaning to try it! I tried Ben & Jerry's almond milk based ice cream and wasn't a big fan. Coconut milk based ice cream is OK. They were out of the cashew based stuff at the store the other day!

@IRunForFun: cashew is definitely the best, but nothing is quite like the real thing. I haven't been impressed with Ben and Jerry's!

My life is basically just studying lately, so my late-night study snack that I'm obsessed with is the chocolate mocha Pop Tarts. They're so good, and limited edition so maybe I should stock up...

Current obsession is definitely baking. I've been playing with my Christmas ramekins and making lots of dairy-free bread. After watching some more of the The Great British Baking Show, I'm thinking I might try tarts next

Currently obsessed with beauty products - finding a good face mask, a great concealer, cheek stain, eye cream, daytime face lotion, hair products...really everything. I'm reading blogs and browsing dermstore, violetgray, and Sephora obsessively and pinning everything to a "Beauty Wishlist" Pinterest board.
And I'm trying to learn new things I've never done before like strobing and other makeup tips.
I'm not sure how or why this started. But I can't stop.

@SweetiePie: Nice! I need a BB cream or some tinted thing (see how bad I am) that has SPF 30. All I can find is 15
cherry / 196 posts
@irunforfun: yeah, I don't think almond milk quite cuts it in the fat content department. I also vastly preferred the Coconut Bliss brand coconut ice cream to other coconut based options. I don't know why, but it's way better.

@T.H.O.U.: This is the one I am most loyal to! I've tried others and liked them but this is one I keep stocked and usually go back to.
Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Complexion Corrector, Light/Medium, 1.7 Fluid Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CJTV8M4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tPXWybPH9GEX7
I also hear wonderful things about supergoop's bb cream.

@T.H.O.U.: Bare Minerals complexion rescue has SPF 30! I have used it since it came out a few years ago & LOVE it!
clementine / 806 posts
@mrskansas: do you also use one of their powders, or is this your only foundation? Right now I'm using the BarePRO foundation (I strongly prefer the compact over loose powder), with the SkinLongevity serum underneath because they convinced me that the compact alone would be too drying. But neither has SPF it in, so I'm also using their sunscreen and frankly, 3 items is more than I want to be using every day! (sigh, I miss the BareREADY compact that they discontinued - it had spf in it!)

@MrsLonghorn: I use the Complexion Rescue and top it off with the Mineral Veil! I have dry skin and it works really well for me.

@T.H.O.U.: this BB cream is my favorite! Love the spf 45. If you buy from Sephora you can return if you try it and don't like it.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@SweetiePie: I may check it out. Have you compared to the BM complexion rescue mentioned? I realized I have used that and like it before but didn't realize it had spf 30
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Coral: I'm also perfume obsessed. What kind of scent are you looking for?
honeydew / 7463 posts
@T.H.O.U.: I haven't used BM for a while! I was completely hooked on it for years but I started to feel like it made me look dull so I went back to traditional liquids. I haven't even thought of BM since they started doing liquids as well. I may have to check that out!
ETA: agree with @catgirl: that Sephora is the way to go. They have my PTR stuff too. I find some things cheaper on Amazon but usually I still go Sephora so I can easily return. They really will take anything back in any condition as long as you don't abuse the system.

@SweetCaroline: Look at Dagne Dover. Their totes are amazeballs, especially if you're OCD organizer like myself.
This is one of their signature/classics but they have lots of options (styles, materials and colors).

@SweetiePie: Does this mean you frequent fragrantica, too? I am kind of obsessed! I am looking for something like Versace's Bright Crystal but with a bit more "oomph!" Or an aquatic/luminous vanilla but I am not sure if that exists.

@SweetiePie: I think you may have sold me. Do you have this Legend tote?

@Coral: Have you smelled Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb? It's a sweet floral you might like. Also:
Hanae Mori
Nina by Nina Ricci
MAYBE:
Bond No 9 Scent of Peace (that's my "signature" scent)
I also just smelled Oribe Cote d'Azure this past weekend and it was freaking amazing.
I mean, look - fragrance is such personal preference. I might have them all wrong but those would be my recommendations. Some might be hard to find to sniff though.

@SweetCaroline: I don't it's on my wish list and if I ever go back to work it will be my first purchase! But staying home now I can't really justify it. It's always being mentioned though in fashion blogs and stuff like that. That's how I heard about it.
I also like this one but it's leather so way more money.

@MediaNaranja: @lamariniere: @JerricaBenton: Casefile's episode The Eriksson Twins is a favorite. I have to get back into that show, thanks for reminding me!
I will check out Up and Vanished, it sounds similar to Someone Knows Something by CBC radio. Crimetown sounds like an interesting premise. Thanks for all the recos!!!
pineapple / 12566 posts
@MediaNaranja: I've added it to my feed!
@JessyMess: that one was super weird! I listened to episode 47 about Yara Gambirasio the other day and it had some crazy twists! And yes, Up and Vanished is in a similar style to Someone Knows Something.

I am currently obsessed with several things:
One was finding a cross body bag that I could use as a wallet or a cross body and had space for my phone. I completed that mission yesterday and my new Spartina cross body should arrive in a few days.
Now I am turning my attention to doing some alterations on some clothes and finally using a coat I bought years ago as a spring topper.
Oh and now I am also watching the netflix Borgia series and will watch the other one when i finish those seasons.

Researching landscaping to try and figure out what we want to do in front of our house. I've also had 4 different landscapers come out to give me quotes, and I'm still having trouble deciding who to use.

@SweetiePie: Thank you! I am actually going to sephora tomorrow to sample some. I do like flowerbomb but I don't feel like it's special enough to warrant the price tag.

@irunforfun: @skipra: @sauerkraut: ummm, the Trader Joe's coconut (dairy free, soy free) chocolate ice cream is amazing. seriously. like, i may eat it even after i don't have to avoid ingredients. the texture is so good! it does have a slight coconut flavor, so if you don't like that, it might not be great. but i'm an ice cream person (full-fat, obvs...ha), and it's GOOD.
