I first had baby fever really young, at 18! A good amount of my friend's had babies at that age so it made me want one too. Luckily I did not act on it.

I never felt it until now. And I have a 2 year old and 4 month old. Something keeps making me think of a 3rd child!

Never? Currently pregnant and still don't have baby fever. She was totally planned and I already love her but I've never had an overwhelming attraction towards kids and babies.

I think I was around 27 when I decided I wanted kids (before that, I wasn't even sure) and 30 when true baby fever hit. It surprised me!

Not until mid-late 30s. I've been too distracted working, traveling & being independent. Then I started to freak out that my best baby-making years may have been behind me!

I got interested sporadically on & off from 21-23 and then it got serious right before I turned 24, and that is when I got pregnant!

Same as @IRunForFun: - for as long as I can remember. I was 30 when we TTC so that was a long time waiting to make a baby!

I got baby fever literally the month we got married. I hadn't wanted one up until that point but something about getting married gave me the fever. (I was pregnant a month later!)

@catomd00: same here! I didn't really get it until after LO #1 was no longer a newborn, then it hit me hard.

It was 2008, so I was 23. We didn't start TTC until I was 27, so it was a long four years. I have baby fever now and have since H was born (WHAT) but I'm afraid my husband will not be ready for another three years.

Always. I've always been so anxious and excited to have a baby one day. Haha. I remember telling DH when we got home from our honeymoon that we could actually have a baby now. He looked at me like I was crazy.

2 years after i got married, at 28! Didn't get this little guy until 2 years later though!

I always knew that I wanted to have kids but was never in a rush. We have been talking about TTC for a over a year now but keep pushing back our timeline. Well we decided late Sept/Oct we would finally start and in the last couple of weeks I have gotten very anxious to get going. I think the realization that friends are starting to have baby #2 is what did it for me.

@Leialou: haha I felt it at 18 too. Then it went away for a couple of years. So glad I didn't have a baby at 18, that would have been so hard!

super young! I had a scare at 17, though, and was terrified..so I would say I liked them but didn't realistically WANT one yet. But once DH and I were engaged, we both had the fever and fought it hard!

I always loved babies but didn't have baby fever for myself. I'm already in my 3rd trimester and I'm still not sure if I had been hit w/ the fever!

I've always loved babies. My mom used to say I'd make a good nurse in the maternity ward because I was always so good with them. I think the real fever kicked in when I got married, I wanted to try right away, but my husband wanted to wait a year.

When I was 25, my best friend had her baby, and that made me suddenly want one! I never really liked babies before that.

About 2 months before we TTC, I had just turned 31.
I sorta have again now, DS is almost 16 weeks... I think it is just crazy PP hormones though. -
I don't know if I ever had true baby fever for LO #1. I always loved kids and knew I wanted a gaggle of them. That was back when I was younger and thought I'd be married by 24. Ha. I hadn't even met DH then. We got married at 29 and just sorta decided once we got married we'd let fate take over. I think I have a mild case now as we are TTC for LO #2.
