If you had the crib higher from the beginning, when did you eventually lower it? We lowered LO1's crib around 7 months old because we moved and it just made sense. LO2 is 8 months old and we still have hers the highest it can go. She can sit up, but can't push herself up to the sitting position, which means she can't pull herself up yet. I think we should probably lower it soon though because I don't want to find out she *can* do these things in the middle of the night.

I can't remember when we lowered it the first time, probably when she started pulling herself up .
We lowered it the last time a year ago. at 18 months. It's now been converted to a bed. -
Too late!!! She was 8 months and i saw her dangling out of her crib on the video monitor (she couldn't even pull to stand yet - still don't know how she did that!) I bolted in but couldn't catch her before she fell head first out of the crib
luckily she was okay but I kicked myself for not doing it sooner !

About 8 months when we walked into her room & saw her about to flip over the side.

Around 7 months when she started pulling up to stand.

@Bao: yes & we don't have a video monitor so we really lucked out that we had just set in in her bed to play for 2 minutes while we took care of a chore that needed us both. It could have been much worse

Around 4-5 months? She was pushing herself onto her hands, and her head was above the bar

The first time I walked in and she was sitting up in it we lowered it. I'm guessing it was around 7 months?

we have 3 settings. the first time we lowered it was when she started sitting up, maybe 6 months? then she started pulling up 7-8 months so we dropped it all the way down.

Same as @lovelyplum. DS learned how to get into a sitting position at 4 and was crawling at 5 months so we lowered it as soon as he was rocking on hands and knees.

I don't remember... as soon as either of them started sitting up really well. I recommend doing it when you start wondering if you should or not. My oldest fell out of his crib (head first, of course) once before we lowered it. Luckily his room had really soft carpet with really good cushion so he just got scared. We lowered it right away then.
luckily she was okay but I kicked myself for not doing it sooner !
