Just curious! I know a lot of babies end up dropping to one nap "early" if they're at daycare.

She was about 11 months. She wasn't in daycare, but her two naps were crappy, so I just switched to one nap and it fixed the problem. It was nice for our schedule too!

@photojane: It must be! I obviously will let her take the lead but I'm kinda hoping she'll drop it sooner than later too!

Probably around 15 months I started working on getting her to 1 nap. I wanted her to be in a solid 1 nap routine when #2 came when she was 18 months.

He was a late two napped. He was 18 months when we transitioned. We tried at 15 months but he still needed two naps!

Fourteen months. She could have gone longer on two but it worked our better for our nanny share that both girls were on one nap. She adjusted fairly well. There were a few five pm. car naps.

For both my guys it has taken time but I'd guess consistently around 18 months. DS1 might have been a bit earlier because I could adjust the time easier. We are working on the transition with DS2. He is almost 17 months and still naps twice about half the time.

dd - 19 months. she was in daycare 3 days a week tho and only napped once a day. the other 4 days at home she had 2 naps.
ds - we're at 14 months and i have a feeling he'll be down to one nap this month. its taking him awhile to settle down with 2 naps

I don't know when she will, but daycare requires it to transition to the next room at 12 months.

LO isn't in daycare, but he transitioned at 13 months. He'd been fighting the second nap for at least a month before that, but I tried to hang onto it until he was 15 months... I'd read that the later they drop, the easier the transition? But the nap refusals got worse and worse so at 13 months I just did it. Since then, LO has never flip-flopped between 1-2 naps but I hear that's really common, though.

Lo is in daycare part time and she dropped to 1 nap at acho around 11 months but still napped 2x at home most of the time until recently (she's 18 months now)

12 months at school. Closer to 15 months, consistently, on the weekends.

He's always been late dropping his naps. He finally transitioned to one nap between 19-20 months.

11 months- and I'm a SAHM so he didn't drop it because of daycare or anything, he just did it on his own.
Luckily he still takes 1 long nap a day at 2 years old.

Think it's happening now! LO is 20 months and I SAH. Definitely more of a roll with the flow type of napper though..but now is finally ok with just the one on most days!

My son was in daycare as a baby and was on one nap there at 10 months but still on 2 naps on weekends. Then fully on one nap by 14 months. I SAH now and I'm trying to transition DD right now. She is mostly on one nap a day but 2 depending on what time she gets up for the day. Or she might have a little cat nap in the car in the morning.

We transitioned early (12ish months) because he was such a crappy napper. He's much better now!

17 months. It would have been earlier (forced by the daycare) since she was technically supposed to move to the toddler room at 15 months, but luckily for us and her, they didn't have a spot until 2 months later.

She started really fighting having 2 naps at 11 months but I was in denial and didn't give in to the 1 nap transition until 12 months. She is not in daycare.

One nap at daycare since about 9 months, but still does 2 naps at home at 15 months.

I tried to discourage it but it was around his first birthday. Now he's close to his second birthday and usually takes one 2 hour nap. There are bad nap days but he's consistently good for his early bedtime and sttn so I think he's ok.

14/15 months. I was staying home. It was a bad transition and he wasn't a good mapper on one nap.
