I like these purple Converse but I'm not sure how my 2.5 will do with the laces!

She wore pink chucks to her first birthday party! She hasn't had any problems with them. I always double knot. I actually prefer them because they are the only shoes she can't take off in the car!

We have a pair of DCs for LO. I double knot so they don't come untied. He can't get them off on his own but then he just whines about it and I end up taking them off anyway. He's a shoe Houdini too

C's first pair of Converse were in size NB! lol. So, right from the start.

Mavrick is still in velcro. He has a pair of laced shoes but doesnt know how to do it. 2.5 is small in my mind... but that also depends on who ties his shoes

DD has some at age 3 but she likes to put her own shoes on so she never wears them.
DS who is 5 has some but he cant tie them so we use the bungee cord laces

At 1! DS wears NB with laces all the time

It's been hard trying to find size 7s that aren't all lace. I do not want to have to lace her shoes every morning!

Her first real shoes had laces (Stride Rite pre-walkers). But now she's really into putting her shoes on herself, I only shop for ones with Velcro. It's also what they prefer at daycare, so I've fully converted.

@locavore_mama: Yeah, DH likes the mary jane style sneakers because they are easy!

My DD got her first lace ups when she was 5 and could tie her own shoe. She's still really slow so they just sat there rarely used. I don't think we will be buying laceups again for a while until she's more proficient.

I got these before he was born! They're a size 1.
But mostly we do TOMS or velcro Vans because they're easy. -
My son is 3.5 and I've still never bought shoes with laces!

DD has a pair of red chucks and she started wearing them at 1.5 we dont wear them often because we usually take off our shoes when we enter our house.

From age 1! She always has a pair of Vans.

maybe 9 months or so? He has converse and vans. They're so cute!
