So sad!
I think C is going to start any day with real tears. Her eyes have started getting red when she cries! I feel like they look so much sadder with real tears. She will be 7 weeks Tuesday.

She had tears from the very beginning but she only has them now if she is crying because she is hurt or she has been crying a long time and is really mad.

About 6 weeks. I'll always remember because they were melting down at my fave department store. I was fumbling through two public diaper changes and my mom goes "look!! Real tears!!!" Do you want me to take a picture?" Uh, thanks mom.

My son had watery eyes at around 3-4 weeks but it's just in the last week or two that I've noticed actual tears. He's 3.5 months old! Guess he's a late bloomer??

DS always had them. When he was really little people used to comment all the time in surprise at his "real tears". DH and I would be confused and like , "yup...every time..." I still don't really know what that means, other babies don't cry with tears?

@ShootingStar: tear ducts usually aren't fully formed until 4-6 weeks after birth, hence no tears.
Both LOs started crying real tears around 4-6 weeks.
